Chapter 12

Asami didn't know how to feel about the comment she made.

Bolin didn't know how to feel about the answer he got. All he could do was move on and hope Korra would eventually talk about it.

He picked up a card and continued the game.

After a couple of rounds the group was laughing and having fun. But even between laughs Korra couldn't stop thinking about the situation.

Mako picked up a card "have a push up contest, your opponent is the group's pick. If you win against the Group's competitor everyone but you takes a shot, if lose you take 2" he read "well that's not fair"

"I pick Iroh" Ginger said

"What, no fair he was in the army" Mako claimed

"I think Bolin can handle him" Opal smiled

"You got the wrong guy" Bolin chuckled nervously "I think Korra would beat him"

"I have a better chance against Korra then I do Iroh" Mako claimed

"No you don't" Korra crossed her arms

"Ou, I pick Korra" Kai said

"Same" Jinora said and everyone agreed for him to go against the woman

"Fuck it, put Iroh in there" Kai shouted

"I'm winning this" Iroh cracked his knuckles making Korra roll her eyes

"Keep the same pass so it's easier to count" Bolin suggested

The three got in position. when Mako did one Korra and Iroh did one. its been 20 in and no one was bodging. 30 in and Mako was shaking while Korra and Iroh kept a perfect form. Korra seen how Mako was turning red.

"Should we stop now so you can show off to your girlfriend?" Korra taunted making Iroh laugh

"Shut up" he managed to get out

"32" Bolin counted. Mako still hasn't gone for another, Korra and Iroh waited for him "Mako, you're not gonna win"

Mako got on his knees letting out a breath. "I'm done" he was hyperventilating begging for air

Mako happily chugged a cold beer since he was hot. But everyone waited for him to take 2 shots.

"Alright down to Iroh and Korra"  Opal said seeing them not given up yet.

"Wait what do we get?" Iroh asked before going for another push up

"Winner gets 20 bucks" Bolin said

"I could use a 20" Iroh said and did a push up and Korra did the same

They kept going. Everyone was impressed "40" Bolin said. He noticed they were both tired

"Give up, it's just 20 bucks" Iroh begged

"And let you win ha" Korra laughed but they were both ready to hit the ground

"50" Bolin counted. Korra and Iroh went down, she came back up struggling but completed the push up. Iroh, on the other hand couldn't come back up.

"I think I'm done" he breathed out letting himself lay down on the ground. Korra did one more push up to claim victory then joined Iroh on the ground

"Aren't you guys supposed to be able to do 100 pushups?" Asami asked

"Hey, it's been a while" Iroh said

"Hasn't it only been 4 months?"

"Yeah, how'd you know that?" Iroh raised his brow

"Korra mentioned it during her interview" Asami saved it she then picked up a card to continue the game "Have everyone in the group write down their biggest fear. Without looking, have the group mix it up, then you get to read out the fears to yourself. But you must pick one to read out loud and that fear that belongs to the person must confess it and explain why... if no one confessed everyone must take 2 shots"
