When Yubin first went to college, she didn't imagine getting dragged to her first party and meeting her first love―There's a first for everything.

According to Jiyeon, nothing is more emb...
DURING THE SUMMER, Yubin had graduated and prepared herself for college. Or, well, she thought she did.
When the time came, to eventually attend college, it was so much more than she had anticipated; In many ways.
Firstly, the work load was a lot heavier than it was in high school. It was high demand and there wasn't much time for fun.
However, there was much more freedom on campus. Since everyone were adults, there weren't much restrictions. Although this could be percieved as a bad thing, Yubin thought it was a good thing; Only because it was new and fresh.
Another thing about going to college was that she could always be with her friends as they live in accommodations near-by.
She was sharing a dorm room with her best friend, Lee Jiwoo. They had been close during middle school and high school, so it was a relief that they managed to arrange their dorm this way.
On the very first week, Yubin and Jiwoo went out for a walk. It was probably almost midnight, but it didn't stop them from buying ice cream.
As they walked down a dimply lit street, their attention shifted over to a loud house party, blasting music and blaring lights. The doors and windows were open, allowing them to see the hundreds of people inside.
Jiwoo's eyebrows raised as her lips jutted outwards, "Holy shit." She laughed, "Imagine just casually stumbling across a random house party..."
Yubin nodded, reluctantly scanning her eyes over a few people who stood, or sat, outside. She nodded her head towards them, "Aren't most of those guys from our college?"
Jiwoo looked over and she laughed again, taking another bite from her ice cream, "Yeah, you're right." She smiles, nudging Yubin in the shoulder slightly, "Looks fun. We should go to the next one."
"Fun?" Yubin scoffs, and looks over at a guy hunched over on the grass, on all fours, his gut wrenching with puke. "Yeah... No." She shakes her head, "I don't think that's a good idea. Especially if it's on a school night."
Jiwoo rolls her eyes, "Don't be a baby. Parties are fun. Especially if you have a date." Her eyebrows suddenly raise up and down as she smirks at her friend.
Yubin just shoves her away and looks at her with a disgusted face, "That's even worse. You know what a guy wants when he takes you as a date to a party." She shudders, "Creepy."
"Oh yeah? What about a girl, then?" Jiwoo asks.
Yubin shakes her head. "Still no."
Jiwoo groans, but goes back to quietly eating her ice cream. For a while now, Jiwoo has been trying to figure out if Yubin was into girls. Not for her own sake, of course, but just because she was curious.
Yubin had always been very forward when it came to romantic relationships, even though she had never been in one before. There was times where she would be in that "talking" stage with guys, but never girls (apparently).
Despite this, Jiwoo would always notice the way Yubin would flirt with girls, like she never did with guys. It was weird, because Jiwoo seemed to believe that Yubin didn't even notice she was doing it. It was just natural; Her way of showing her appreciation towards them.
Her speculation was that she actually didn't even like guys. But, the only way for her to know was if Yubin told her herself. But she hasn't (yet?).
Anyways, the point here is: There's no way Yubin isn't into girls.
Taking this point forward, Jiwoo was excited for when Yubin eventually does fall in love. She, herself, has been in a few relationships before ― with guys and girls ― and she was just patiently waiting for Yubin to finally date someone.
She even debated on doing a little bit of match-making a few times, but decided against it. Yubin would probably hate her if she did.

JIYEON HAD NEVER BEEN a party kind of girl. Sure, she was popular throughout her years in high school and college, but whenever people invited her to parties, she usually stayed in and studied. It was what she knew.
Her best friend, Kotone, was the opposite. She loved going to parties, but respected that Jiyeon preferred the comfort of a quiet room.
She did always offer her to come with, but Jiyeon usually turned it down. She made a promise to herself that if she ever did go, she'd never drink or get high. She's knows better than to do that.
She grew up with the influence of her mother, who was a "perfect" role model. But, other than her mother, she had no one else, besides her grandfather. She lived her life with no father, no family, and was never claimed as a "best friend" to another. Not until she first started college.
As i said before, her and Kotone are best friends; They trust each other so much that there's nothing they don't know about the other. It's only been two years, but it feels like they've known each other for a lot longer.
For Jiyeon, college was her life's saviour. It had brought a little bit of fun into it. Although her mother was a very good one, there wasn't much excitement about being wise and studying and knowing what the right thing to do is.
However, just a week ago, Jiyeon felt as if her whole world had started to crumble, trapping her between broken bricks and rough glass.
When she was told that her mother had passed during a plane crash, she felt as though that crumbled world's sky was falling and weighing down on her shoulders.
She kept this to herself, feeling depressed. Her studies dropped slightly, but she didn't find the energy to care.
Kotone, still unbeknownst to her recent situation, had invited her out one night to a party. To her surprise, Jiyeon agreed.
Just like that, she broke her own promise to herself that night. She got absolutely wasted.
