Salem Massachusetts was home. I never knew anything outside Massachusetts. It had been home for the past twenty-seven years. Margo and I went to high school together before moving into the dorms together and then after she dropped out and I graduated, we became roommates. Everyone seems to think Salem is a scary place because of the witch trials that were here. I have seen a lot growing up here, so it's never really phased me. However, when my half-sister, Liane, came to visit weird things started happening. She was never a popular person. I made sure my friends would be nice, and we all had a bit of fun. Well, that was until November 23rd, 2037. Liane came home from dance class to an empty house. She's never been a violent person but today things just seemed different.

When my family first moved here, we had been warned about the possibilities of curses and weird happenings. I was only two months old. After seven years my parents got divorced and dad chose to move away. He never wanted to see me. He claimed it made him live in the past and he wanted to leave his past behind. After a few years my mom got contacted about him having a new baby and getting married. He had only called for money. Now with her finally coming down I was happy to finally meet another part of my family. She had gotten braces when she was younger, so she got a nice smile.

Devin came down for a while with my mom. He was born 6 years ago. After I turned 21, mom thought it would be a good idea to have another child. So, my half-brother and my half-sister were partly the same in that sense. One day we chose to go to the beach. I thought Liane could use some fresh air after all the weird events. After two hours we went looking for them but only found Liane. We desperately searched and even got the lifeguards' help. Hours were passing. We started to lose hope. We had a whole search around the beach and in the water. After roughly four days they found his body stuck under the docks. Nobody knew how he died, just that he was drowned. Everyone thought it was just a freak accident. However, I knew something was up.

Nobody believed me when I said he'd been murdered. I knew better than to call it an accident or suicide. He was an amazing swimmer but wasn't the strongest when it came to getting away from people with him being bullied a lot. I decided to investigate for myself. After all this was my brother. I loved him and wanted the truth. That was 4 years ago.
