The Affair^^

Chapter 1

It's a normal day for you. You are the new Senator who took the place of Kamala Harris. You and Kamala have been close friends for almost four years, but since she became Vice President you rarely see her and it's really annoying.

"Hey!" says a voice and a woman comes to you with a file and a coffee in her hand. You look at her "Yeah what's up?" She smiles at you "Just look at it!!" You nod and take the file from her. Your eyes examine the inscription. Top Secret| Seal of the White House You open the file and put it on the table. You sit down on the desk chair and start reading. Suddenly your eyes widen "The...The Vice President is looking for a private secret service?!" You ask in surprise. The woman nods. A smile of joy forms on your lips "Wow...that's awesome...and you want me to apply?" The woman nods again before saying something "Yes, your work is wonderful and the 5 years you spent in the military are impressive, I think Madam Vice President would be really interested in you" You nod and have to think about what you just heard and read there.

After thinking for a few minutes, you log into your laptop and start writing a resume. You also write down the 5 years in the military and why you want the job. Then you attach the last medical examination document so that they know that you are healthy. You think about what is important for your resume and add it. Then you print it out and put everything neatly into an envelope.

After work, you mail it and make sure it gets to the White House.

4 Days Later

Almost four days have passed when you suddenly receive a letter. It is a spring day and you go out of your house to check the mailbox for letters. You take everything out. Election advertising, holiday cards, bills and a letter that looks very high quality. You go into your house and put all the things on your kitchen countertop. You look at this letter. It has the stamp of the White House and it also says in handwriting who the letter is from Madam Vice President Kamala Harris You smile when you see it and open the letter carefully so as not to break anything. You immediately read the letter. Your jaw drops.

Madam Vice President cordially invites you to an interview at the White House on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.

You can't believe it. You'll soon be working for your friend who you've had a secret crush on for ages. You send the letter to your little sister who is only 17. She goes online immediately.

"Damn, bro you are so lucky!!" She texts you. "I Love This Woman" It takes a while for your sister to answer you "Yeah, I know you're raving about this lady all day" You laugh at the news from your sister "Yes I know you're right Sissy" You exchange a few messages before you go offline and prepare for the interview.

You are in the lobby of the White House and you wait. It takes a while until you hear the footsteps of high heels. Your gaze lands directly in the direction from which the noises are coming. Kamala comes to you with a smile. "See you again, right?" She laughs before hugging you "Yeah...so Madam VP, I hope we become colleagues after this" Kamala nods before she lets go of you. You both then go to her office. She sits down at her desk and points to the chair in front of the desk for you to sit down.

You smile at her. Her expression becomes serious "Well, I read through everything and I've come to a decision... of course I had to discuss it with the head of the Secret Service." Your hands start to sweat and you look at her. There is silence. Then Kamala starts speaking again "He said yes but..." You look at her worriedly "What...?" those were the only words that came out of your mouth "you have a 3 month trial period and then we will decide whether to keep you" You nod and stand up. She stands up too and holds out her hand. You both shake hands. "So we'll see each other here on Monday morning, right?" she asks you. You look into her big teddy bear brown eyes "Yeah, certainly" Your finger strokes her hand. Kamala accepts the gesture from you before she lets go of your hands.
