No Strings Attached

Chapter 17

"I'll be there in 20" Korra said and they hung up.

Samantha took a different guess room and went to bed. Hiroshi took his medicine and went to bed as well. Asami waited in the living room for Korra's arrival. She then got a text from the girl saying that she made it.

Asami opened the door and went straight for a hug. They stayed holding each other for a moment. Asami felt at peace when Korra was around. 

The two went to Asami's room. Before Korra called she was already ready for bed. So when she went to Asami's she was already in black jogger shorts. Korra took off her hoodie revealing her in a grey tank top.

Asami went to shower. Meantime Korra was setting up the bed. After she set up, she laid on the bed and watched her anime mean time. Moments later Asami came out the bathroom.

Asami climbed in bed. At the same time Korra put her phone away and turned over to face Asami who was still getting comfortable. They laid down facing each other.

"I'm sorry" Asami said

"What are you apologizing for?"

"That I put us in this situation"

"It's ok, you didn't ask for this either, you know" Korra said holding onto Asami's hand. Asami felt understood for once.

Asami's heart melted at her words and touch. She then came to a realization, and it scared her. She couldn't imagine a life without Korra in it.

She leaned in planting a kiss on Korra's lips

"Listen" Korra said and held Asami's hand "I just want you to know that you are the best thing that's ever happened to me, and whatever decision you make, could never make me hate or dislike you, ok?" Korra said as she brushed a hair behind the girl's ear "because, I do love you Asami, and I fear that nothing would ever change that" Korra's heart was racing

Korra can see Asami deep in her thoughts. "you don't have to say anything, I just wanted you to know" Korra said seeing Asami give her a light smile that went away a few seconds later.

Asami pulled Korra into a hug and stayed like that for the rest of the night.

Samantha woke up early morning. She got dressed and was on the phone with her boyfriend for a bit. She then went to bug Asami since she didn't want to be alone for breakfast.

"Well this is cute" she said walking into Asami's room seeing her friend cuddled up with a visitor.

Asami woke up to the sound of her friend's voice. "Girl, don't you knock?" Asami stretched

"Asami, please, with you?" Samantha laughed "I just didn't think you had company" she crossed her arms seeing the other girl still asleep.

"I didn't think so either, I kinda asked her to stay over last minute" Asami sat up brushing her hand through her hair.

"Mm, well, I don't know about you but I'm hungry" Samantha said as she watched Asami get off the bed.

"Yeah me too" Asami said as she grabbed Korra's hoodie that she came in last night putting it on and walked out the room

"Aren't you gonna wake her?" Samantha said

"No, she doesn't work till the afternoon today, she needs to sleep in" Asami said having her friend follow her.

"So is Korra the one?"

Asami blushed "It feels like its the obvious choice but..."

"but what? is it something about Mako that you'll miss or something?" She asked as she sat on the table with Asami as the cooks started to prepare breakfast. Samantha earned a shrug "how about this, just tell me about them, maybe what makes then different from each other"
