Buck left Eddies house the morning after his break up with Tommy. They did not talk much about what happened. Actually, Buck only said that they broke up. But that was okay for Eddie, he understood him without words, anyway. The moment Eddie opened the door and faced a sad-eyed Buck he knew he needed to cheer him up. They sat down and had their beer. After the third one Buck mentioned Eddie only being in a shirt and underwear, he laughed a bit while eyeing him up and down. Buck also noticed that the white shirt was a bit transparent from the sweat, altough he tried to shake those thoughts immediately.

Eddie said he was dancing, Buck begged to see it while laughing. He laughed. Eddies heart began to flutter, which he told himself was because he was so heartbroken over Buck being sad. And maybe it was that, maybe it was something else as well. "I will not repeat that dance unless you dance with me." Eddie said, he even reached out a hand to him to tell him he meant business.

"I'm not drunk enough" Buck replied, still laughing.
Buck did feel better, but he knew he would once he spend some time with Eddie. Eddie always made Buck feel better, no matter what.
The night continued with them chatting, nothing important was said but Buck felt better and thats what mattered to Eddie. At some point they both fell asleep on the couch, Eddies head resting on Bucks shoulder.

After Buck left Eddie started tidying up a bit. He just got out of the shower when he heard his phone vibrating, hoping it was Chris. As he looked at his phone he was a bit disappointed because it read "Tommy".
Tommy asked if he could come over later, Eddie obviously already knew what he wanted to talk about and agreed.

Eddie did not mean to but he already chose a side to be on. Buck didnt even tell him much besides saying Tommy broke up with him, but still, Eddie was on his side - but Tommy was still his friend, so he should try to go into this conversation being inpartial, right?
When Tommy arrived Eddie realized he did not look as sad as Buck did, which made him a bit angry. Because why wasnt he sad? He just lost the best guy he could have had, altough he didnt say this outloud.

Tommy went into more detail of their break up, and it left Eddie a bit confused. Because what did he mean by "first arent usually lasts"? If you love someone, you work on being their last. It does not have anything to do with being a first but putting hard work into a relationship to make it work, but he also didnt say this outloud. He also didnt mention how badly Tommy fucked up by breaking Bucks heart, how no one is ever going to compare to Buck because there is simply no other guy that is like him.

Eddie noticed that the desire to cheer Tommy up was not present. He thought it should, because he was his friend. He should want him to feel better, right? Yesterday all Eddie wanted to do was cheer up his best friend, make him laugh, see his laugh.. he especially wanted to hear his laugh. It was a beautiful melody for Eddie - when this thought crossed his mind he shook his head which earned him a confused look from Tommy.

"Do you have anything to clear my mind?" Tommy asked, Eddie nodded. He tried not to show that he is clearly on the side of his best friend, he still wanted to comfort Tommy. He thought that maybe alcohol was going to help him free his mind of the thought of punching Tommy.
And it did, a bit anyway.

It helped until Tommy leaned in to kiss Eddie. Their lips touched briefly before Eddie pulled away and Tommy layed on the floor. The situation wasnt inviting for a kiss, the harsh light big light was on, Eddie had a basketball game playing in the backround, why did Tommy think it was okay to kiss him?

"Dude, what the fuck?" Eddie said, almost screaming. Tommy knew that Eddie was straight, atleast thats what Eddie told him. He did give off a vibe when they first met but since Eddie talked about his girlfriend a lot, Tommy shut his feelings off. He doesn't know why he tried to kiss Eddie. Tommy didnt try to explain anything, he just left without looking at Eddie. The door was slammed shut, the noise startled Eddie but it also brought him back into that moment because for a short while he was out of it. This felt like an out of body experience, like he wasn't the one who Tommy just kissed, but it was. Eddie felt weird, he felt uncomfortable.. and confused. He knew he didnt like men. He knew it.

Maybe Josh can help me, Eddie thinks. The time they worked togehter at the dispatch center Josh always said if there's ever something he needs to talk about, he could talk to Josh. Eddie never thought he would need to talk to Josh, afterall he has Buck and he really only ever shares his problems with him.. but his ex boyfriend kissing him? He couldnt talk about that with his best friend. So, he called Josh.

Josh didnt wonder why Eddie was talking to him instead of Buck. He would have probably punched Tommy, even harder than Eddie did. Altough they would be for the same reason; he is Bucks ex boyfriend and he kissed Eddie without an invitation. So, he listened to Eddie and gave him an understanding nod every now and then. He didnt know what to say, and really, what was there to say? That Tommy is an asshole who didnt deserve Buck and that he fucked up even more after kissing Eddie? Josh thinks that he knows that already, so he just kept listening and adding the understanding nod.

It seemed to have helped, though. "Thank you, Josh." Eddie gave him a hug, rubbing his back a bit. "Really. My mind is clearer now." "Anytime." Josh answers.

Eddie did feel better after talking to Josh. Which is weird because he didnt even talk that much about what happened between him and Tommy but more about what happened between Buck and Tommy. Eddie felt angry that Tommy broke Bucks heart. Everyone keeps breaking Bucks heart. He thought it was surely gonna stop with him - he liked Tommy, kind of. Well, he liked him in the beginning, not so much after he got together with Buck, altough he wasnt sure why that was. So he complained about Tommy to Josh and he felt better now. Josh did raise an eyebrow here and there when he mentioned how great Buck is and how much he deserves to have someone who wont break his heart, who will stay with him forever. Eddie didnt think too much about it.
