Here's the much awaited family dinner 🔞
Jungkook woke up early on that Sunday. Jimin's mom had invited them over for a family lunch to officially welcome him to the family, but it had to be postponed twice due to various reasons. Now it was finally happening.
He was jittery with nerves, but was also excited. With his friends' help he decided he would buy some flowers and a fruit basket as a gift. Jimin was already bringing a bottle of expensive wine so Jungkook settled for other things. Apart from the flowers and fruits, he also wanted to do something personal to impress her.
So he set out to cook one dish to be shared during lunch. He started with his usual morning routine of making them both coffee and a light breakfast. There were several thoughts in his mind.
He wondered if anything had changed. Would she welcome him warmly? Or was she doing this only because she had no choice? Would she have anything else to tell him?
As he sipped his coffee, he realized his hands were shaking with nerves. He took a deep breath. "You got this, Jungkook. You can do this. Just be yourself." He blew out a long breath and jumped in his place a couple of times. "Alright, let's do this."
Jimin's mom preferred to cook herself because she loved cooking and wanted to do that for her mate and pup. She saw that as a way to connect and bond with her family and show them how much she cared for them. So despite her busy schedule, she cooked as much as possible for them.
