For a long moment, he didn't say anything. He couldn't. The guilt clawed at him, making it impossible to look at you. Without another word, he turned on his heel and left the room, the door clicking shut behind him.

As he walked away, his mind churned with regret and self-loathing. He knew he had no right to lash out at you like that. But he also knew that the feelings you stirred in him-confusion, desire, jealousy-weren't going away anytime soon.

But in his way, he made a subtle eye-contact with a girl just outside the room on a call but she was staring at him. His eyes lingered on her for a while but her expression only hardened until he looked away. Sunghoon halted in his steps in the distance, and turned back when he noticed the girl entering the same room where you were.

The tension in the room thickened as Heeseung and Sunghoon stepped back inside, Jay and Jake following closely behind. The four young men exchanged a brief glance before quietly moving to the far end of the room, where a low couch sat unoccupied. Their fathers were seated at the opposite end, now joined by five other sharply dressed men whose presence only amplified the formal and calculated atmosphere.

Heeseung's jaw tightened as his gaze brushed past his father, then quickly darted away. Sunghoon mirrored his reaction, his hands buried deep in his pockets, his eyes cold and distant as he ignored his father's piercing gaze. Jay leaned back slightly against the couch, crossing his arms, while Jake, standing stiffly beside him, muttered a soft curse under his breath. The four stood together like a united front, silently bracing themselves for the ordeal ahead.

But the room's atmosphere shifted the moment the door opened again. Heads turned as four impeccably dressed girls entered, their presence commanding immediate attention.

The first girl moved with a skip in her step, her radiant smile directed at Jay as she approached him with an air of casual confidence. She began speaking animatedly, her voice a pleasant hum of energy that contrasted sharply with the quiet tension of the room. Jay, however, was less receptive; his gaze flicked towards her occasionally, but he remained stoic, offering only subtle nods in response. Still, she didn't seem to mind, her words flowing effortlessly as if she didn't notice-or care-about his reserved demeanor.

A second girl entered with a deliberate grace, her every step exuding elegance. Her eyes scanned the room briefly before landing on Heeseung. Without hesitation, she walked directly to him and looped her arm around his. Her poise was impeccable, her confidence unwavering, but Heeseung's reaction was far from accommodating. He turned his head away with a scoff, a faint flicker of annoyance crossing his face. Her grip on his arm didn't falter, though, and she remained by his side, her expression calm, almost indifferent to his rejection.

Meanwhile, another girl approached Sunghoon, her presence gentler but no less assured. Her smile was warm as she stood beside him, and he responded with a slight upward curve of his lips. When she slid her arm through his, he didn't pull away. Instead, he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on the top of her head, his gesture subtle yet affectionate. Their shared moment felt natural, almost effortless, a stark contrast to the stiff tension lingering elsewhere in the room.

Lastly, the fourth girl strode in with a sharp toss of her hair, her gaze immediately locking onto Jake. His reaction was instantaneous-he cursed softly under his breath, his frustration evident as his eyes narrowed at her.

"I told you not to come," he muttered curtly, his voice barely above a whisper.

She merely rolled her eyes in response, flipping her hair again with a practiced ease. "I'm meant to be here," she said dismissively, her tone confident, almost amused. She stood beside him as if she belonged there, completely unfazed by his obvious irritation.
