Four months later...

"And I was like, no! I don't want to! And this guy had the audacity to show up in front of our house every day!" Lady Iondale complained and lifted her hands up in the air. "That guy is crazy, Tati, I'm telling you."

Tatiana nodded her head and took a sip of her hot chocolate. Lady Iondale, or Marie, as she prefers to be called, is in front of her, complaining about this noble that keeps on trying to court her in the Iondale mansion. She goes on and on about how annoyed she is that her father is not even trying to shoo the guy away.

"Why don't you give him a chance then?" the princess asked, placing the cup on top of the saucer. "Who knows? Maybe he suits your taste. Getting to know him is a better idea than keeping him outside your house.

"Are you kidding me?! There is no way that I'll let him near me!"

"Why? Did he do something bad to you?"

Marie paused and thought for a moment. "It's not that he's a bad person. I just don't feel comfortable around boys."

Tatiana sighed and simply smiled at her. They have been each other's friends for months now, and Marie visits her at the palace almost every day. That's why she also knows that Marie is naive when it comes to boys. Her brother, Luther, has been very protective of Marie ever since they were kids, but since Luther is now training as a knight in the palace, suitors can now come and go freely.

"You are going to have to marry eventually." the princess tilted her head. "Don't tell me you're going to avoid marriage until you grow old?"

Marie wanted to speak, but she didn't know what to say. Everything that Tatiana said had a point. She pursed her lips and silently groaned at the frustration she was feeling. She stared back at Tatiana, who was calmly smiling while holding her cup of hot chocolate and staring at the window.

"You look pretty peaceful lately," Marie told her, "you must be having it easy since you already have a fiancé."

Tatiana sighed while staring at the window and gently smiled at her. "It's not that I'm having it easy, Lady Iondale, I have given up."

"Huh?"

These days have been chaotic for her. The only reason why she was keeping it together was to avoid getting married or engaged to someone else. Bjorn. That piece of trash blackmailed her and still is. She remembered the night of her birthday when she asked Bjorn to keep being her fiancé until the main character came along, just so she could keep her freedom and have enough time to prepare her plans.

"I will do as you say," he said. His lips curled into a mischievous smile. "But you have to abide by my conditions."

Every time she thinks of it, her blood boils. She never thought that a guy like him would do something so petty. Now that she thinks of it, she shouldn't have asked him for the favor and just kept acting like they were engaged. Bjorn can't call it off on his own.

Wait. He can. That's what he did in the original story.

In the original story, Bjorn was a simple-minded person. When he loved Agatha, he did everything for her. He was also an honest and straightforward person, and his personality was not that complex. Now that she personally knows him, he has started to become more and more complicated. Tatiana discovered traits that she never read about in the original storyline.

In the original storyline, Bjorn was a strong and scary person who was sweet and loving to his love interest; that was all he was. And now, Tatiana discovered that Bjorn loved to train, he liked to keep winning in fights like a psychotic beast, and he was petty. She even learned that he doesn't like peas, which was shocking. Who knew that a mere character in the book would have so much personality.
