I'm just here. All alone in the dark. I like it like this. But why?
In the dark I can see how the glow of my hands shimmer and brightly escape to hit all corners of my room. My very small, creepy room. It's a cottage. My home is a cottage. It's a cottage for a reason. My foster dad says it's a nice place to keep a useless, abnormal girl like me in it. Away from everyone.
Abnormal. He calls me that every time something unusual happens to me. Something that un satisfys him. Them. Everyone is the dark world.
It's hard to explain this something though. It usually starts off as a pain. A pain that gradually increases. It feels like my skin getting cracked and opening a drift of blood in the middle. Then, it slowly gets numb and starts to change colour. Along with the colour comes a bright, glowing light that shines enough to make me believe it's a sunny day right in my room.
This glowing light, which my foster mom calls the shine wasn't a curse, but more like a birth mark. A birth gift. My foster mom, Carla, says it's for the good and when I can control it, others will understand me too. But there is just one problem. I can't control it. I just can't. Sometimes Carla would take me to these unusual and different people in the dark world. A dark world that only the chosen and most unlucky creatures could enter. The underworld people who not only were surprised by be but also thought my gift could turn into curse. A curse that could hurt many. But, it ready did. Before I knew it, it did.

Speaking of the shine, it's a but confusing really. Confusing because... I really don't know how I got it, what it actually does, if it's dangerous and how I can get rid of this.
