Part 213 Pairs Cannot Be Separated

Start from the beginning

He pulled away, "Your heart is so big. I knew you would have enough room in it for them, too. When we left the park that night, I knew they belonged with us." I gave him one more quick kiss, then pulled him back to the house with our fingers laced together.

Once inside, I went to Silas and pet my new babies that were in his lap. I picked them up and sat in Silas' lap with my pets in my lap. Silas put his arms around all three of us. This is what a family is about. Feeling unconditional love.

"I'm next! Sean called out eagerly. He picked up a small package and brought it to me. He knelt in front of me, sitting on his heels, watching me open his gift with a big, happy smile. I ripped the wrapping paper off the small box then opened the lid to find a pink and a blue collar for my new babies. I noticed there was something shiny on the side of them. I looked at them and found he had bedazzled the names "SAM" on the blue one and "ANNIE" on the pink one.

My eyes scrunched as I looked at Sean. "You bedazzled the names Sam and Annie?"

"First, I heard you had a big joke going about giving us all bedazzled articles of clothing. Or I hope it was a joke. Secondly, Sam and Annie were the names of the main characters that found each other on the top of the Empire States Building. But we can change that too. I was just..."

I cut him off with a kiss. "I love them Sean. And I like those names. They just fits. Thank you." I gave him a hug and another quick kiss. He went back to his spot.

"Can someone grab my gift for Aggele? I don't want to disturb her pets." Kota reached over and picked up the present from Silas. Kota held it out and Silas grabbed it from him. "I hope you like this Aggele. I made it for you." I ripped open the package to reveal a beautiful wooden jewelry box. The lid had a large heart with a rose bud carved in the middle. Hanging over the side of the heart was a gold painted halo.

"Did you carve this Silas?"

He nodded, "Yeah. I had Gabe draw the rose for me though."

"It's beautiful." I said breathily.

"Not as beautiful as you, Aggele Mou." He leaned forward and kissed me.

"Now I get to give you my present, Ten." He handed me a small square tin about 3 inches tall by 3 inches wide and only 1 inch deep. My head quirked to the side as I was curious what was inside this small box. "Merry Christmas." He spoke with conviction.

I opened the tin to find a small credit card with my dog and cat on the front of it. As I took it out of the tin, I flipped it over to read, "Gift Certificate good for training your dog and cat."

"Really? You'll train them for me?" I had a goofy smile on my face.

"Unless you would like me to buy you a present."

"NO! I love it! Thank you Kota! Sam and Annie will be the best behaved animals ever!" Then in a Baby voice, I scratched their heads and said, "yes you will. And the smartest, too." I realized I might be offending Kota by insinuating my animals would be smarter than Max. "Smarter than all animals except Max." I amended.

"Ten, all of my animals are the smartest. Sam and Annie are my animals now too!" My heart melted. He was admitting Sam and Annie are just as much a member of this family as any of us are. I motioned for him to come over to me so I could give him a hug and a kiss.

"That gift is perfect Kota. Thanks."

"Princess, my turn. Here you go." He handed me a small gift bag. I pulled the tissue paper out of the bag and found a CD case. The case cover had a Princess crown and in fancy script it said, "My Princess".
