Karishma Singh glared at the defence attorney, who was turning all the proofs she and her team collected.
Karishma Singh, SI of Mahila Police Thana, Lucknow. One of the most short tempered yet dedicated police officer of the city. In her 5 years of police carrier, she came across many incidents where she catch the criminals and these lawyers get them release. Seeing your hardwork going in vain, is really frustrating.
For now, the man facing trial is accused of killing his business partner, some employees saw them fighting and him angrily leaving the office. Except for it, there are many more incidents hinting that he murdered his business partner.
Her chain of thoughts were broken by the prosecutor, who stood confidently in front of the judge's bench. "Your Honor, sare evidences is taraf ishara kar rahe hain ki Mr. Jain ne hi apne business partner Mr. Sharma ka khoon kiya hai, kai logon ne inhe victim se jhagda karte hue bhi dekha hai.
Shivani Pawar, the defense attorney, smiled smoothly as she stood up to counter the prosecutor's arguments. "Your Honor, yeh sach hai ki mere muvakkil ka victim se jhagda hua tha, lekin jhagda karne mein aur kisi ka murder karne mein bahut fark hota hai, aur jo sabut prosecutor ne pesh kiye hain, unme se koi bhi yeh sabit nahi karta ki Mr. Sharma ka katal mere client ne kiya hai."
Shivani turned towards the prosecutor, "Aur jahan tak baat hai eyewitnesses ki to ek eyewitness to mere paas bhi hai jo yeh sabit kar dega ki Mr. Jain nirdosh hain."
She asked permission for bringing the witness in the court and judge gave her permission.
"Yeh hain Nishant Goyal, Greenhouse Cafe ke owner, mere client akshar wahan jate hain, infact hatya ke samay bhi woh inhike cafe mein the."
Nishant said the same thing and CCTV footage was also presented.
The judge thought about it, but before he could give his final verdict, the clock rang 5 o'clock,

Shivani came out of the courtroom, with her coat in one hand and a file in another. Karishma came and dragged her at side, holding her wrist.
"Shivani Pawar problem kya hai tumhari, baar baar humare raste mein kyun aa jati ho?" Karishma asked in angry low voice.
"Pahli baat, it's my job and if I'm too good at it, then it's not my problem." Shivani released hand by force," Aur dusri baat, ho kaun tum, jo main tumhen itna importance dungi."
"Aur ainda se aisi badtameezi ki to mujhse bura koi nahi hoga."
Shivani walked out from there and Karishma sighed.
Flashback
Shivani was walking through the market, it was evening time and there was not even space for walking, so she decided to go through the narrow streets.
While crossing one of the streets, a boy, maybe 19-20 years old, jumped infront of her, holding a knife in his hand, "Jo kuch bhi hai, chup chap nikalo varna...."
Shivani dropped the bag and hands up," De rahi hun, please mujhe kuch mat karna."
.
With a swift action, Shivani snatched the knife, pointing at the goon back. She grabbed his collar and put the knife on his neck.
"Janta hai, kisse panga liya hai?"
"Maaf kardo, aage se aisa nahi karunga, please chhod do mujhe." The goon pleaded joining hands.
"Ka chal raha hai?" They turned and found a police officer.
"Maddam ji, please mujhe bacha lijiye, yeh mujhe maar degi..."
"Oye, kya bakwas kar rahe ho?" Shivani hold his collar more tightly.
"Maddam ji, aapke samne dhamki de rahi hai." The boy said to the police officer.
The police officer snatched the knife from Shivani," Chalo, khelne ka time khatam ho gaya."
"Yeh saman tumhara hai?" The police officer asked to the boy.
"Ji." The boy said.
"Tum apna saman le ke kato yahan se" She said holding Shivani's hand. The boy took the bag and ran from there.
"Dekhiye officer, kya naam hai aapka?" Shivani read the name plate," Karishma Singh, main kis angle se chor lagti hun aapko?"
"Jyada chalak banne ki jarurat nahi hai, hume bhi pata hai tumhari gang ho hai woh aise hi chori karti hai, yeh saaf suthare kapde, yeh masoom sa chehra, taki kisiko shaq na ho."
"Main ek lawyer..."
"Lawyer ko bulao ya lawyer ke bapuji ko hume fark nahi padta, tum chalogi thane."

"Had hoti hai Karishma Singh." Haseena Malik, Thana incharge of MPT, scolded her.
Karishma looked at Shivani, who gave her a smirk.
"Matlab na aav dekha na taav, bas utha liya kisiko bhi?"
"Lekin maddam sir, chaku inke hath mein tha, koi bhi achanak dekhta to use bhi yahi lagta ki yeh use dhamka rahi hain."
"Aap koi bhi nahi hain Karishma Singh, aap ek jimmedar police officer hain, aapko dhyan rakhna chahiye tha." Haseena turned towards Shivani," Shivani inki taraf hum mafi mangte hain, aainda aisa kuch nahi hoga."
"Aur mera saman, woh bhi bhent chadha diya inhone."
"Hum uski bharpai kar denge, kitne paise hue?" Karishma asked taking out her wallet.
"Baat paison ki nahi hai, bheed dekhi hai market mein is waqt, phirse lene gayi to raat ho jayegi."
"Don't worry, tum apne saman ki list Karishma Singh ko de dijiye woh la dengi."
"Hum?" Haseena gave her an unbelievable look," Hum la denge."

Karishma rang the doorbell of Shivani's house, she was already frustrated by the rush of the market and here Shivani was taking too much time to open the door. After she pushed the button many times continuously.
"Kya masla hai? Insaan chal kar aata hai ud kar nahi."
"Harkaton se to tum insaano ki category se nahi lagti."
"Tumse to maine koi ummid nahi rakhi dhang se baat karne ki." Shivani shook her head in disbelief," Saman kahan hai."
"Rakho apna saman, le kar nahi bhagne wale." Karishma said handing over the bag to her.
"I hope phir se tumhari shakal na dekhni pade." Shivani said under the breath but Karishma heard it.
"Same to you." Karishma said extending her hand for a handshake, but as soon as Shivani extended her hand, she suddenly pulled it back, fixing her hairs.
Shivani went inside tapping her feet and slammed the door hard.
Present
Shivani opened her car's door but before she could sit, Karishma parked her bike infront of her car.
"Aankhein hain ya button, dikhayi nahi deta meri gadi hai yahan par?"
Karishma came near her and removed her sunglasses," Chai pine ja rahe hain, chalogi?"
"Apni bike hatao." Shivani said clenching her teeth.
"Yeh bike to yahin rahegi, hata sakti ho to hata lo, aur haan agar humari bike par choti si kharonch bhi aayi...to apni gadi ki haalat soch lena."
"I hate you." Shivani said frustratingly.
"Same to you." Karishma extended her hand, Shivani absent mindedly extended her hand for a handshake but Karishma pulled it back.
Shivani threw her hand in air, angry on herself as she fall for the trick every time.
