"Sam!" I heard my mom call me from downstairs,

"Yes mom?" I said knowing that she can hear me from a mile away,

"Henry is here! Come down!" Henry? What is he doing here? I ran downstairs to find him standing next to my mom looking very nervous, well he should be because she was staring at him suspiciously.

"Hi" he waved,

"I just came to pick you up, for the party." He said nervously, I gave him a confused looked and was about to ask what party he was talking about.

"Wha-oh! Right! I completely forgot...yeah, I was busy packing, sorry" I still don't know what party, or if there was a party in the first place. But I think it was his way of trying to get me out of the house.

"It's just a small one, Henry's mom wanted to throw him a graduation party." I tried to convince her with a smile, I know my mother isn't easy to fool and she knew for fact that we were lying.

"Sure, just don't be late" she said catching both of us by surprise, I quickly ran to my room and ended up opening the suitcases that I spent the whole day packing. I picked a white crop top, a black denim jacket and some oversized pants that I found. I don't even care if it looks nice or not. Henry was dressed casual and I knew we weren't going to a club or somewhere where we had to dress up.

"Don't be too late, honey" My mom warned and waited for me to get in Henry's car, he sighed in relief when we drove away from the house.

"Goodness sake she's scary, very hot though" he giggled, this boy giggled at what he said.

"Henry!"

"What?! I'm just saying"

A few minutes later we were in front of the city mall, the place had bowling alleys, cinemas, gaming spaces, and other boutiques, and shops.

"What are we doing here?" Henry parked his car and we both made our way inside,

"I'm meeting with some friends and we're going bowling, they're already inside" Henry and I entered the bowling alley, the place was full since it was the weekend and everyone was getting bored at home.

The further we walked inside the darker it got, the place was only lit by pink and purple led lights. Finally Henry waved to a few people that I recognize from school. Two guys and a girl.

"Hey guys!" Henry waved and gently pushed me forward towards them, I smiled and they all waved and greeted me back. It wasn't awkward since I met them before and we spoke a few times.

We played and ate snacks and I admit I had lots of fun, watching Henry getting his ass kicked at bowling and crying about it, then blaming it on
the fact that Chucky broke his ribs, which she didn't, she just fractured them.

But unfortunately, I'm not the type of person who likes going out too much, my social battery dies after an hour or two. I left Henry continue his whining and crying and made my way outside to get some fresh air. I wrapped my jacket around myself and looked up at the beautiful dark sky, it was barely lit by any stars but it was still very pretty.

"Hi" a tiny voice said catching me off guard, I looked down at a little girl. She had a beanie hiding all her hair, and she was a little pale, but she was smiling genuinely.

"Hey there!"

"You're very pretty" she said and licked her ice cream, I smiled softly and crouched down to her level. I wiped the ice cream from her cheek while she just stared at me. I could tell she was sick, her skin was too pale, almost as if she didn't have enough blood in her system.

"What are you doing out here this late? Where are your parents?" I asked softly, she looked around the place and realized she didn't know where her parents were, I could see the panic in her eyes. She was about my sister's age, and I wouldn't imagine how her parents were feeling right now, losing a kid in a huge mall is not a good experience.

"Hey, hey it's okay honey. Let's go find them okay?" She nodded, she took my hand and we both walked inside the mall again. We both looked left and right, she was trying to find a face she recognized while I tried to find someone who's panicking and searching around.

"My name is Sam, what's your name sweetheart?" I asked the little girl to try and make her feel more comfortable.

"Daisy!" Her and another voice said at the same time, I looked up to see a very familiar face that I wasn't expecting to meet here. I could see the panic and worry on her face that quickly turned to anger as she made her way to us.

"Lola!" The little girl let go of my hand and ran to Chucky, who quickly picked her up.

"I told you to wait for me outside the bathroom Daisy! Why didn't you listen?!" She scolded her, the little girl just smiled and hugged Chucky, who immediately calmed down and sighed softly. I've never seen her like this before, so worried and caring.

"It's okay, Sam helped me find you" Daisy said and pointed to me, I smiled at the little girl before looking at her older sister. She was staring at me with a face that I couldn't read.

I wasn't expecting her to thank me because I didn't do this to get a thanks from her, I'm just glad the girl found me and not some creep.

I waved at Daisy and watched her wave back at me, then put my hands in my pockets and made my way back to the bowling alley before things get awkward. I wonder why she hides this side of her. Maybe if she didn't act like an asshole we could've been friends.
