Prologue: Herta University
Firefly believed that rules kept the world from falling apart, kept people on track, and ensured that everything ran smoothly. From the day she entered
Herta University, one of the most prestigious learning institutions in the world, she'd done everything right: straight A's, leadership positions, community service. People came from all around the globe to attend, and she was determined to stand out among them. She believed that was no problem she couldn't solve with hard work and discipline.
But the first time she saw Caelus, she knew he was the exception.
Caelus embodied everything she despised: disorder, rebellion, chaos. He wasn't like the other students. Where other students would wait patiently, he chose his own way, breaking every rule without a second thought. Rumors swirled about him: fights, detentions, a boy with no future.
Firefly had tried to ignore him. He wasn't her problem. She had her own path, one that didn't require her to cross paths with a delinquent like him.
But when their worlds finally collide, when they are forced into each other's lives, Firefly learns something she never expected.
Sometimes, the person you least expect is the one who captures your heart.

Firefly stood on the highest floor of Herta University, looking at the campus below. From where she stood, she could see the students pouring in as the gates opened, their excitement evident as the new semester began. The sound of laughter and chatter floated up to her.
This would be her final year, the end of her college days, and the beginning of her life in the outside world. For her, life had truly just begun.
Suddenly, a soft knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. "Come in," Firefly hummed, not taking her eyes off the scene below.
The door creaked open, and in walked a familiar face. It was Bronya, a fellow student council member, with a worried expression on her face. "Hey, Firefly. Professor Yang called for you."
Firefly turned, her heart sinking a little. "What did he say?"
Bronya stepped further into the room, closing the door behind her. "He didn't go into details, but he sounded serious."
Firefly felt a flutter of nerves in her stomach. Professor Yang became the head of the school during her 4th year, and despite being new, he has proved to be committed to helping students excel. "Do you think it's about the council meeting?" she asked, anxiety creeping into her voice.
"Could be," Bronya replied. "Or maybe he just wants to go over some plans for the semester."
"Right." Firefly tried to sound confident, but her mind was racing with possibilities. She had poured her heart into every project, wanting to ensure her final year left a lasting impact. What if he wanted to discuss her next steps? What if she wasn't living up to his expectations?
Firefly took a deep breath, readying herself for whatever awaited her. She stepped into the hallway, the sounds of students filling her ears once again, but this time, her mind was focused on the task at hand.
Navigating through the maze-like corridors, she felt herself grow anxious with each step she took.
As she approached his office, she paused for a moment, glancing at the students around her. Among them, she noticed Caelus standing outside, his trademark carefree demeanor drawing attention as he chatted with a group of friends. The sight of him stirred something inside her—a mix of intrigue and caution.
With a final breath to steady herself, Firefly knocked on Professor Yang's door and pushed it open.
"Come in," Professor Yang's voice rang out, authoritative yet welcoming.
