When Izuku Midoriya first met All Might in person he was star-struck. But while he was zooming through the air, desperately searching for answers from his favorite hero. All Might shook him off his leg without thinking. Sending poor young Izuku plum...
He mentally shields himself and is preparing to come to terms with his end. "I may as well die if I don't have a quirk." The thought masks his logic for a moment, then again "If I had a quirk, I wouldn't feel so... relieved... right now."
"I just wish I knew what it was like..."
His mind fogs up with static.
"I just wish I knew what it was like..."
His body goes limp and tears blur his vision.
"I JUST WISH I KNEW WHAT IT WAS LIKE"
The thought repeats and blares in his mind before the adrenaline rushing through Izuku's body almost makes him pass out. But his consciousness slips away before he can get a grip on himself...

Izuku wakes up to bright, clinical white lights scorching his eyes. As he collects his thoughts he remembers falling aimlessly through the sky. He jolts up quickly and scans his body. He realizes miraculously only his right arm is hurt. After a moment, a doctor rushes into the room and runs to Izuku's side. The doctor has furrowed eyebrows and a very puzzled face.
"Yamikumo! What happened? Are you alright boy? What on earth is happening?" The doctor extends his hand to touch Izuku's hair, upon confirming that it's 'real'. The doctor stands over Izuku and looks into his eyes, seemingly getting increasingly confused with every passing second. Izuku starts to share the same puzzled look as he realizes... His name is not Yamikumo.
"My name is Izuku, Izuku Midoriya?" Izuku looks at the doctor expecting some sort of explanation for what's happening. The doctor stands up, walks over sheepishly to the door and looks at the room number, before walking back into the room with his brain overheating. He apologises and leaves the room.
After an hour or two Izuku's mom walks into the room and embraces her son. They both leave, but Izuku leaves with more questions than answers.

(shortly after All Might shook Izuku off)
When All Might hit the floor, he immediately leapt back to intercept the boy's falling trajectory. After prepping himself for a moment to calm his very frantic nerves he jumps. Zooming back he can see the boy that clung to him a while ago, Izuku is careening to the floor at terminal velocity. with just a moment or two to spare, All Might fears he won't be able to make it in time to save the boy's life. A deep gutting regret sits in his stomach as he watches how the boy will reach the floor soon.
But as All Might gets closer, he realizes, this boy is not the one that All Might doomed. Looking closer, the hair is black and purple, longer and covers his face.

All Might is almost relieved but now has a new mission, to try his damn hardest to save the boy falling through the sky. Seconds away from landing on the concrete in the street, All Might sends a strong gust of air to the black-haired boy, which softens the impact enough and instead sends him flying towards some nearby forestry.
The boy, with numerous fractures and broken bones, is still amazingly conscious and can faintly hear rustling from a nearby bush. Gritting his teeth and peeling his eyes he notices two pieces of golden hair stick out of the bush followed by a huge figure and booming voice.
"Boy! Where are you?!" All Might pleas before he looks up into the tree and spots the boy suspended in the tree by some supporting branches and his backpack straps. All Might gets into the tree to help, but the moment the boy wrapped his hand around All Might's forearm for support a sudden strong jolt of pain rushed through All Might as he fell to the floor clutching his forearm in pain.
A slight, excited grin grew on the boy's face before he passed out from the pain after all the adrenaline died down. All Might was confused but still knew what he had to do. He picked up the boy with one arm and leapt towards UA High, looking to get help from Recovery Girl. He dropped the boy off in a hospital afterwards.
