It was around 2:00 in the morning when Liu was awoken by a soft whimper coming from what sounded like the living room of the cabin. He reached out his hand to find the other side of the bed empty and tiredly sat up.
"Rose?" Liu quietly called out, there was no response, so he got out of bed and exited the bedroom. As soon as he stepped out though...
"N-No..... I don't want to! Stop! Please! Get away from me!"
Worried, Liu followed where the voice was coming from, knowing that it belonged to Rose. He entered the living room, the only light coming from the moon shining from the window, where he found Rose on the couch. She was visibly shaking in fear and her hands over her face as if she was ready to be strike. Liu stepped closer and sat beside her.
"Rose?" He asked concerned as he placed a hand gently on Rose's back. Rose flinched at his touch as a gasp escaped her mouth and lifting her head up, revealing her tear stained face. It took her a couple seconds to realize that it was Liu, then she felt her hands gently being caressed by another pair of hands.
"Look at me..." Liu said calmly but concerned laced in with his voice. Rose looked up to meet his gaze.
"Liu.....?"
"I'm right here love, you're gonna be okay."
Knowing what she was going through since he too often goes through flashbacks to when he found his parents murdered with multiple stab wounds to their stomachs and chests, and Jeff attacking him. He could sometimes still feel the knife being pierced through his skin that makes his stomach churn.
Rose however, she has flashbacks back to when Adrian kept her hostage and mistreated her for months. At times she could hear his voice, saying things such as "Try and escape again and see what happens!" or "Stupid bitch!"
"L-Liu....." Rose's voice quivered as she spoke his name again.
"Rose... he won't hurt you anymore..." he spoke softly making Rose a little more at ease.
"And if he does come near you again I'll make sure he stays dead." Sully said grimly. Rose felt herself slowly calming down as Liu continued to comfort her. Liu wrapped his arms around her shaking body and pulled her close and placing a kiss on her head.
"I love you..." he whispered.
"I...I love you too..." Rose said as she buried her face into his chest and closed her eyes. She then felt Liu carefully picking her up and carried her back to bed. As soon as both were back in bed she felt drained from being so stressed that she immediately fell asleep.
