Chapter 7

"Why weren't you at work today?" Ginger asked

"Oh, Mr. Sato forgot to run a background check so they're doing one on me, so I won't go back till everything's cleared up, and background checks take what? 2 days or a week?"

"Yeah but with how Mr. Sato and his daughter are, they'll get answer by tonight, you should be fine" Ginger reassured her

They put on a movie and watched it while sharing food. It was silent but not weird or awkward, they were comfortable in each other's silence. They shared laughs during the funny parts of the movie and gasps during the shocking moments.

After the movie ended they found themselves cuddled up in the couch sharing a blanket. "Thank you" Ginger said

"For what?" Korra questioned

"For inviting me over, and the company" Ginger shrugged with a smile

"Of course, thanks for taking my offer" Korra chuckled and so did the other girl.

They stared at each other for a moment till Korra stopped using her brain. She brought her hand to Ginger's cheek, their eyes were still connected. Korra looked at her lips then back to her brown eyes. "Can I kiss you?" Korra asked softly

Ginger couldn't speak, she nodded her head and Korra did what she wanted. Their lips connected, it was soft and gentle. They reconnected and disconnected a couple of times till the kisses deepened.

Korra pulled Ginger close having her straddle her. Their lips stayed connected as Korra stood up with Ginger in her arms and her legs wrapped around her waist. Then they made it to the bedroom.

—next morning—

Bolin was up making breakfast for his best friend and prepping lunch for her since he wouldn't be home to make her any.

He started serving 2 cups of coffee then heard a pair of footsteps "Goodmorning sun shine" Bolin said happily seeing his friend woken up and a taller red head behind her wearing Korra's shirt and short shorts "and guess" Bolin was surprised "sorry I didn't know you had company over"

"No it's ok, I should've texted you" Korra said rubbing her eye trying to wake up "Ginger this is Bolin, my best friend and roommate, Bolin this is Ginger, we work together"

"Oh it's nice to meet you" Bolin said

"Like wise" Ginger gave him a smile and joined Korra in the dining table

"Coffee?" Bolin offered to Ginger as he gave Korra a cup, he earned a nod "great, and how do you like your eggs"

"Whatever's easy for you" Ginger shrugged

"Alright" Bolin gave her a smile.

He served the 2 and himself. Bolin liked Ginger, but for some reason he didn't see Korra with a girl like this, she was clean and was too much on the proper side, you can tell she had money growing up.

'Is this that rich girl' Bolin thought as they were talking.

After eating, Ginger left back home to get ready for work. Korra still heard nothing from Asami, she was starting to worry.

"I should get going, I have a movie to play in" Bolin cheesed he then left.

Korra was alone in the apartment, staring at her phone, she waited and waited. Still nothing.

Korra ended up getting ready and went to the gym to kill time. Kai ended up going with her too.

"So tell me about this girl Bolin keeps saying you sneak off to" Kai asked as they started at the treadmills
