Most gods and goddesses grew up on the smaller planet in the collision, the farthest one to the east; it was pure and peaceful, but the further west you go on the planets, the worse it gets, and to protect the fragile balance, the most powerful gods got together to each produce an heir to protect the cluster of planets and the few people worth protecting.
There were four children since the planet collision; they needed the powers all the planets had in common: the legacy of stars, the legacy of the moon, the legacy of the sun, and finally, the legacy of the galaxy itself. However, some of them didn't have the best parents (since they were forced into this); Sora's parents often left her alone, but they had servants watch her and they would often spoil her; Aurora's parents were often fighting; Luna's parents seemed to care enough to spoil her, but they often forgot she even existed (whoops!).
But, Liora likely had the worst parents of all; they were slightly unhappy about the slow development of her powers; they were forced to produce an heir as the two most powerful gods, and they expected her to be better; they yelled at her often and would occasionally 'Forget' to feed her as a punishment.
