Echoes of a Stolen Soul"
In the whispers of the wind, a gentle sigh
A lament for a land, where hearts once flew high
A people's spirit, with a beauty so rare
Lured by false promises, with a tender care
Colonial shadows, with hearts of cold stone
Came with sweet whispers, but a hidden throne
They brought gifts of deceit, with a gentle hand
But stole away, the future, of a promised land
They took our loved ones, with a gentle grasp
Promising a better life, in a distant clasp
But delivered them, to a life of pain and fear
And a legacy of shame, that brings tears
Our ancestors wept, as they sailed away
Leaving behind, a piece of their soul to stay
In the land of their birth, where their hearts remained
A longing for home, that echoes through the pain
Their tears fell like rain, upon the sea
As they whispered prayers, for their destiny
To be free once more, from the chains that bind
And to return home, to the love they left behind
A people's heart, with a spirit so true
Beats with a love, that shines through
Though the wounds of the past, still linger on
Their resilience shines, like the morning sun
