"Go ahead. I'm sure you'll be able to." Swatch reassured.
You took notice of your breathing. Control it. Think. Concentrate on making more than one spear. The glow in your soul was there again. The light emanated in your chest.
Behind you, two light forms appeared. They culminated and focused into two more spears. This time, instead of being flames they were light... Just like the one you made before. They were smaller in size but looked equally as deadly.
"There you go!" Swatch's face illuminated.
You smiled. You were so proud. You had never done anything 'correctly' in your life... Or at least from what you could remember.
"Now with that settled, are you able to control them towards a specific direction?"
"Probably" You shrugged, trying to play it cool.
"Try to aim for the pillar over there" Swatch guided his feathery hand towards the left revealing another gargantuan pillar.
You looked at it. It was opposite the entrance, not even that far away. How hard could it be?
Thrusting your hand forward, you thought hard to move the small intricate spears.
You could just imagine the spears piercing the column crumbling to the ground... Even with all the thought and determination, the spears did not stir.
"Eh?" You announced. "Why didn't they move?"
"Knight, I cannot all be that sure but I'm sure you will be able to master it in no time... However we do not have enough time today. As of now, I'll teach you the basics before I go back to my other tasks."
An agitated sigh exited your mouth. "Someday I hope I can move these spears... It would be pretty inconvenient if I couldn't." The spears floating above dissipated into the air. "So," You brightened. "What do I need to learn today?"
"I am going to teach you how to control that spear of yours." Swatch directed his finger towards it. "Since you almost singed my side off, let's avoid throwing it towards me... It would be best for both of us." Swatch chuckled.
You followed. "No promises"
Swatch let out a warm smile. "Now, point the spear towards me."
You pointed.
"Good..." Through Swatch's glasses, you could see him examining the spear. "Turn the spear so the tip faces horizontally."
You rotated the spear in your hands. The spear's somehow gleaming edge was parallel with his chest. The impudent urge to stab was incredible but you resisted.
"See that? It spans the width of my chest."
You saw alright, and you couldn't quite tell if you were terrified of the power you had been given or the fact that his chest was so wide... So full and broad.
"In case of an emergency, I would suggest using your spear that way."
"Makes sense." You said.
"Now, turn your spear so the tip faces vertically to me."
You turned the spear once again.
"It goes parallel to my spine. If you were to stab any sort of opponent with this you could do quite a bit of damage and get a lot of thrust." Swatch raised his hand up, summoning a large pillar of glossy feathers. "After hearing that, try stabbing this wall."
"Just stab it?" You asked.
"Yes, try as hard as you can as well."
The wall faced towards you. It wasn't much taller than you, most likely around six feet. The lack of height still didn't make up for the thickness it presented.
