Rohit shrugged. "I-I... Don't know..."
"What did you want to ask me, Rohit?"
Whatever courage had dragged Rohit over to the CSK dressing room with his obnoxious half-formed question left him completely and he shook his head. "Nothing, Bh... Mahi Bhai.. I-I should get going. The T-Team would be waiting."
Rohit had tried to avoid holding unto expectations, but he had not fathomed Mahi Bhai reaching out and tugging him next to him.
"Sit, Rohit. And stop thinking."
"Bhaiya?"
"Hey Rutu!" Mahi Bhai called out and Rohit looked around to find the captain of the Super Kings finishing up tidying his locker. "May I have the room for sometime?"
"Oh Bhaiya.. I cannot... We..." Rohit traded a helpless look with Ruturaj, trying to move out of the hold which only grew firmer. "They will be inconvenienced."
"Of course, Mahi Bhai! No worries! You need anything? Rohit bhai?"
"N-No..." Rohit immediately tried to refute but Mahi Bhai interrupted.
"Send in some tea if it is not too much of a trouble. And take the kids back to the hotel, will you? I do not want them to celebrate too much here. Jaddu will probably stay back. I will go back with him, if he is okay with it."
"Of course, Mahi Bhai. I will also send in some food for Rohit Bhai and you. Time for your meds."
"Aye aye Captain!"
Mahi bhai chuckled and Rutu waved goodbye before exiting the dressing room and dragging away the remaining Team along with.
"He is shaping up to be a good Captain," Rohit murmured. That the kid wasn't being considered for the T20 World Cup squad was gnawing away at him.
"Yeah. He has aways to go, but he will get there."
"Even when he is not getting enough chances?" Rohit murmured and felt a gentle thwack aimed at the back of his head.
"He will make his own chances; don't worry your stupid head over it."
Stupid head.... Rohit smiled.

"My head is bursting!"
"What is it, Rohit? Didn't I tell you that practising for so long under the sun would be detrimental?"
Rohit groaned and dropped his head into his hands, trying to rub away the irritation. "Bhaiya!" He complained.
"What Bhaiya? Let me see."
Rohit let out a sigh of relief as he felt his Mahi Bhai's cool hands over his forehead.
His Mahi Bhaiya's hands were always cool in the summers and warm in the winter; an enigma quite like the man himself.
"This is so good, Bhaiya. Thank you."
"Why don't you listen to me, Rohit?"
Rohit pried open one eye and glared at his Mahi Bhaiya. "I am not speaking to you."
"Oh really?" The man had the gall to smile.
"Really. You already have a new player to gush over! I am old news anyways." Rohit hardly ever threw tantrums but he had had it with people waxing lyrical over Virat Kohli, the hot-headed Captain of the U-19 Team. The World Cup winning Captain.
"Cheeku? You are being jealous of Cheeku?"
"Cheeku? That what you are calling him now?" If anything, Rohit's headache increased.
