Attention Whore Sirius Black

Remus had been sitting in the common room for what felt like forever, working on his parchments for potions class when he heard the portrait opening and light footsteps coming toward him. If he'd had any doubt who it was he may have lifted his head but as the footsteps stopped in front of him he knew he was right in his identification. All of the sudden, a body flops onto the couch beside him and wriggles its feet under his legs.

"Remmyyyyy," Sirius whines from where he's flopped on the couch.

"What, Love?" Remus says without lifting his eyes from his work.

"It's so cold outside, I think my organs are freezing!" Sirius fake sobs while shivering dramatically.

Remus smirks slightly but continues to focus on his parchments as he says, "Well you're inside now so I'm sure they'll thaw quickly."

Sirius sighs the loudest, most dramatic sigh he can muster and says, "Do you even care that I'm freezing to death? I thought you loved me."

Remus knows he shouldn't look up but he can't help himself. He looks over to find the poutiest lip and the strongest puppy dog eyes he's ever seen, and that's saying something given the amount of times Sirius has given him that look. Now he's never going to be able to finish his homework.

"Of course I love you, but you are not dying and I really need to do my homework. Shouldn't you be doing yours?"

"I don't want to do my homework Moons, I want cuddles." Sirius whines as he opens his arms in an invitation. "I need your body heat or I'll never survive."

"You're being dramatic Pads, you'll be just fine. I'll give you cuddles when I've finished my work."

Remus turns back to his parchments and gets to work for about five minutes before he feels movement beside him. Sirius has now pressed himself against Remus and is physically demanding attention. Remus gives in and puts away his parchments. He turns to Sirius to find him smirking in a way that says he's just won.

"You are incredibly stubborn, Siri" Remus sighs as he wraps his arms around Sirius.

"You're the one who lets me get away with it." Sirius says, still smirking.

Remus gives Sirius a quick kiss before he lifts him off of the couch and starts walking towards the stairs to their dorm. As he enters the dorm he notices that both James and Peter are out. Not that it would matter anyway because Sirius and Remus have been out for months now, their friends being the first to know. They made it exceedingly clear that it was obvious they had feelings for each other and that no one was surprised they were dating.

Remus plops down on the bed with Sirius still in his arms and wiggles them under the covers. Sirius sighs in contentment and buries his head in Remus's neck.

"You happy now, Love?" Remus says with a smile on his face.

"Mhmm," Sirius hums in a sing-songy tone, opting not to actually say anything.

As much as Remus needs to finish his homework, he lives for these quiet moments with Siri. The love of his life, cuddled in his arms, content beyond measure, is what life is all about. In these moments, he doesn't need to think about school or full moons or the future. He can just focus on the man of his dreams, his best friend, the other half of his soul. He can focus on how his breaths fall and how his hair waves and how his skin is so smooth and how his eyes are the deepest gray and the most beautiful things he's ever seen. Remus falls asleep thinking about the most beautiful human being he's ever met and how he gets the pleasure and honor to hold him for the rest of his life.
