IT SEEMED LIKE SASHA COULDN'T STOP MAKING MISTAKES. He made tons of mistakes during the quarter quell and dozens of more in District 13, but choosing to go to the Capitol might've been his dumbest mistake. Not dumb in the way that it would end in everyone's death, but dumb in the way that he should've thought it through before wasting his time. All they had done was film Everdeen shooting an arrow and setting off a pod, which really wasn't that cool. Either that or Sasha was getting really tired of watching promo videos.

But what wasn't he tired of these days?

Now, after a very uneventful day, they were sitting in an abandoned building doing absolutely nothing. Well, at least he was. Katniss and Gale were sitting in the corner talking, probably plotting something. Someone should've stopped them, but Sasha didn't have the energy to do that. He'd become a real downer over the last couple of months, and he couldn't care less.

Apollo came and sat down next to him, waiting a few seconds before saying anything. He probably thought that Sasha was going to tell him to go away, and Sasha thought about it for a second but Apollo was the only person he could tolerate for more than a couple of seconds.

"Nice weather we're having," Apollo muttered.

Okay, so maybe he was an idiot and Sasha was starting to change his mind about not sending him away. "Shut up."

"You know, you get moodier every day," The kid started to say, but he stopped when he saw Sasha glare at him. Sasha was well aware he was getting moodier, he just didn't care. He didn't care about it at all. He could wallow in his own self-pity every day, that was exactly what he wanted to do. He wanted to curl up in a ball and wallow in self-pity until he dropped dead.

"I've been getting moodier since before you were born," Sasha pointed out.

Apollo opened his mouth to reply, but shuffling around them interrupted him before he could even get a word out. There was a crowd around the exit of the building, and Sasha got up to go see what was going on.

Everdeen was in the front of the crowd, holding her bow at the ready and aiming at something, or someone, walking towards them. There were a few people actually, and Sasha had to squint his eyes to recognize them. The person Katniss was aiming at was none other than Peeta, which wasn't too surprising. Of course, the person she was aiming at would be the guy who tried to kill her multiple times. Someone was walking beside him, probably a soldier to make sure he didn't lash out. And then there was a third person behind them, a girl, and Sasha wanted to groan when he saw exactly who it was.

It was Evelyn. It always had to be Evelyn.

"It seemed like she didn't want to go when I told her we were going," Apollo whispered. "She said she didn't really care if we were stupid enough to go and get ourselves killed, and I'm pretty sure that was code for I'm not going to go and get myself killed."

That sounded like something she would say; so why was she here now? Sasha had spent the last couple of weeks completely avoiding her, and that was going to be pretty much impossible if she was in their squad.
