Arya entered the police station with her usual air of confidence, her eyes scanning the room until they landed on Om, who was waiting for her.

“Where is he?” she asked, her tone brisk.

“In the investigation room,” Om replied, nodding toward the door.

Arya approached the room, glancing through the one-way glass.

Inside, a young man was being questioned by the officers. He seemed oddly calm, almost amused, despite the seriousness of the situation.

“I wasn’t there to remove evidence. I went there to find it!” Vihaan exclaimed, his voice earnest.

“Why should we believe you?” one of the officers shot back.

“I’m telling the truth! I’m a huge fan of sherlock Holmes. When I heard that famous lawyer say it was murder and not suicide, I thought, ‘What a great case to start my detective career!’

”Arya couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

“Interesting character. What’s his name?”

“Vihaan,” Om replied with a sigh. “But he’s just telling stories.”

“Then why are you listening? Check the CCTV footage,” Arya suggested, her voice carrying a hint of amusement.

The officers did as she advised, and after reviewing the footage, it became clear that Vaibhav wasn’t tampering with evidence at all. He was simply inspecting it from a distance, his curiosity apparent.

“See? I told you, but you didn’t believe me,” Vaibhav said triumphantly, flashing a grin.

Arya leaned closer to Om and whispered, “People don’t even believe in God these days, and he expects strangers to trust him?”

Vaibhav, catching sight of Arya’s amused expression, raised an eyebrow. “Did you say something?”

“This is a police station, not a chat room,” Om interjected, trying to maintain a serious tone.

Vaibhav shrugged. “Why so serious, man? Did your girlfriend make you mad?”

Arya laughed, and Om shot her a glare. “Alright, stop scaring me with those looks. I’m leaving,” she teased.

“Scaring you? That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard,” Om muttered as Arya turned to leave.

As they stepped out of the station, Arya decided it was time to break the ice.

“So, what’s your name?” she asked, her curiosity finally getting the better of her.

Vihan Raye,” he replied, straightening up a bit. “I used to be a private investigator assistant but… well, that job’s gone now thanks to that accusation.

”Arya nodded, acknowledging his situation.

“And I’m Arya Verma, a lawyer. I’m the one who said that case wasn’t a suicide but a murder.

”Vihan’s eyes widened slightly, impressed. “So, you’re the famous lawyer everyone’s been talking about. I’ve heard you’re tough in the courtroom.

”Arya shrugged modestly. “I just do what needs to be done.

”As they continued walking, Arya couldn’t resist engaging him further. “So, what do you plan to do now?”

Vihan grinned. “I’m going to be the world’s number one detective! But first, I need to figure out how to get back on my feet.

”Arya paused, considering his words. “Well, how about you work as my paralegal for now?

”Vihan blinked, taken aback. “But I don’t know anything about law!”

“Who said you need to know the law?” Arya shot back, a hint of a smile on her lips.

“Then what would I do as your paralegal?” Vihan asked, clearly puzzled.

Arya chuckled. “Make jalebis.”

“What?” Vihan’s confusion deepened.

“I mean, you know how to fight, right? Martial arts?” Arya asked, smoothly changing the subject.

“Yes, but how is that related to law? Are you a part-time goon?” Vihan quipped, trying to keep up with her shifting conversation.

Arya groaned, clearly growing exasperated. “Just shut up, will you? Go to hell.”

“Why hell? Why not heaven?” Vihan called after her as she walked away, her patience clearly wearing thin.
