A shout.
A call that i can barely hear beneath the crashing thunder and the raindrops splashing around me.
Feels like im sitting and listening to everything pulsating from the back of my mind.
And my ears.. It's hissing-very loud. But I heard it, i heard it only enough to know-that it's a girl's voice. Calling and screaming in the rain trying to wake me up.
Though i was half conscious, im very aware of her presence. And the urge of my body. They're telling me to cut the curtain that was blocking me, and it feels like everything is forcing me to wake up too.
Everything feels very wet.
I regain consciousness in a slow, disorienting blur. My body feels heavy, like the mud caked all over me is holding me down. My limbs tremble as I rise up to my feet, shivering in the cold.
The wind slices through me, biting at my skin. The mud clings to every part of me, cold and suffocating. I can taste the earth on my lips, feel the weight of the soil beneath my toes.
It's dark, so dark i can barely make out what's around me.
But then-I see her.
