After the wedding, we went to the reception where all of my relatives and friends are waiting for us.

From the bridal car, I carried Jade. She wanted to use her wheelchair but I insisted on carrying her instead. We ate a lot of food even our wedding cake. Dada said that we should dance. Jade nodded and slowly pulled herself up.

"Are you sure about this, lablab?" I asked.

"I'm sure you won't let me fall, right?" she smiled.

"Of course." I assured her.

We danced to the song, "Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran"

When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?

She wrapped her arms around my neck while mine is placed on her waist. We're very close to each other and I can hear her unstable breathing.

And, darling, I will be loving you 'til we're 70
And, baby, my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Well, me-I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am

We're not talking. We're just dancing to the rhythm of the song, cherishing every moment.

So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are

Suddenly, I felt her shoulders move. She's crying. I held her chin up to see her face.

So, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Oh, darling, place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are
Oh, baby, we found love right where we are
And we found love right where we are

"Why are you crying?" I asked.

"I'm sorry," she said between her gentle sobs.

"..I'm sorry if I can't be there for you till we're 70. " she continued.

I can't stand of what she is saying. I cried with her.

"Don't say that, Jade."

We both hugged each other like there's no tomorrow. Suddenly, I felt her body collapsing.

"Jade!"

I am now sitting beside Jade's bed where she had oxygen mask to help her breathe. I am holding her hands, my tears are continuously falling down my cheeks. I am very much dejected as I look at her weak body.

"Lab, just hang in there, okay? I know you're strong. I believe in you. Please, wake up." I pleaded.

I waited, but she didn't even give any sign of waking up. I stood up and went to the hospital chapel. I knelt down, crying helplessly.

"What did she do? What wrong has she done for you to punish her like this?" I wiped away my tears.

"I can't see her like that. I don't want to see her dying." I stopped to gasp for air.

"Can you just take me instead? I'm begging you." I heard footsteps.

"Thea, Jade just woke up. She's looking for you." it's my dad, Felix.

Upon hearing that, I immediately ran outside of the chapel. Maybe He heard me?

As I rushed inside the hospital room, I saw Jade. She's awake, thank God. I slowly made my way to her bed. She smiled weakly.

"Lablab." she said.

I hugged her tight, and burst into tears again.

"Why are you crying?"

"Thank God you're awake. I was so scared." I cried like a child.

"I was so scared." I repeated.

I watched her sleep but then I got surprised when she spoke.

"Lablab, why aren't you sleeping?"

"I don't want to."

"Aren't you comfortable? Here, sleep beside me, bed's too huge for me." she said then she tapped the other side of the bed.

I smiled at her.

"I'm not sleepy, lab. Go ahead and take a rest. I'll be right whenever you need me."

"Are you scared?" she asked while looking at the trees visible through the windows of the room.

"Of what?" she turned to me.

"I can feel you're scared. You think that something bad will happen to me while you're asleep? Am I right?"

I nodded slowly.

She placed her left hand on top of mine that's holding her right hand.

"Don't worry, I'm fine." she said

"I'm sorry. I just don't know what to do."

"It's okay. Now, go to sleep." she tapped the other side of the bed again.

"Promise me."

"I promise."

I stood up and laid down next to her. She hugged me and I hugged her back. After a few moments, we both fell asleep.
