They managed to reach me without being spotted, and we stayed there for a few minutes, waiting and watching as the torches of people looking around in the rubble of the exploded bunker went out one by one, the troops giving up eventually. "Who sent it?" Steve asked Natasha, who was staring at the little device she'd had out before.

"SHIELD." She said in a voice barely above a whisper, as if saying it out loud would confirm the fact that Zola hadn't been lying. "The nuke was sent by SHIELD." As much as I wished I could have taken this as another 'I told you so' moment, it didn't feel like the right time. Especially not right after Natasha had found out that the people who had given her a second chance were now the ones we were fleeing.

"Steve," I said in a low voice, holding onto my left arm which had gotten slammed into the concrete floor when we'd fallen as I looked at the super soldier. "You happen to have that Sam Wilson's address?" Around twenty minutes later, Steve, Natasha and I were standing outside Sam's house, none of us having said more than a few words during the drive there—too busy trying to wrap our heads around everything that had gone down. It was strange, even though I had known how our visit to the old SHIELD hideout would go down, living it had been terrifying. The ringing the sound of the bomb had caused in my ears was still not fully gone, and my left arm was horribly sore.

"I'm sorry about this—we need a place to lay low." Steve explained as Sam greeted him at his front door. I stood a few steps behind Natasha and the Captain, letting them do the talking as I knew Sam gave in anyway.

"Everybody that we know is currently trying to kill us." Natasha added softly, and I watched as Sam's expression hardened, his decision becoming clear.

"Not everyone."

I waited in the room Sam led us to as Natasha went into the bathroom to freshen up, and Steve and Sam were speaking outside in the kitchen. Sighing, I opened the small journal Sam had given me after I'd asked him for something I could write on and clicked the pen he'd handed over as well—starting to scribble down each marvel movie's name I remembered in that moment, and when they played out. Something about the bunker had shook me, and made me realise I had been acting like a fool. This wasn't something I could take so lightly—there were real people over here... real people who I had the chance to save. What if I woke up back in my own world before I had the chance to tell the avengers anything that could help them? Or... what if something happened to me on one of these missions? I knew the avengers didn't die, but I wasn't an avenger. As fun as it was to watch their stories unfold on a television screen, I didn't have a story of my own. Anything could happen.

Once I had jotted down the names of every movie I remembered in that moment, knowing I'd definitely forgotten some, I started writing down quick summaries of what happened in each one with little bits of my own opinion as well. Age Of Ultron: you guys are raiding a HYDRA facility in Sokovia, no clue how you get there but I'm guessing you'll know when its time. You're going to meet two people there—Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. They're good, trust me. They've been experimented on with the Mind Stone, I'll explain what that is later. Tony and Bruce manage to acquire said stone and use it to finish a 'project' Tony has been working on. This project of his doesn't exactly work out, and it gets away with the stone, recruiting the Maximoff's in hopes to take all of you guys down. Your friend Helen Cho will be forced to work for this project, and it will demand her to make it a new body. Once the Maximoff's realise this projects actual plans, they turn against it, but the avengers have to retrieve the body themselves to make sure the project doesn't manage to use it. PLEASE keep Natasha away from that fight, though. It's for the best. Tony and Bruce then use the body themselves, but this has to happen for... future reasons. Trust Vision, thats all I can say. But this project isn't done, it finds a way to lift a huge chunk of Sokovia into the sky and a lot of shit goes down there. You guys need to find a way to stop him right after getting your hands on the body he was trying to make, but in case you don't manage, keep an eye on the boy Maximoff during the fight. Thats the best description I can give right now, I'm sorry its still very confusing.

I'd only gotten through a few movies before Natasha stepped out of the bathroom, letting me know I could go in. I smiled at her thankfully before placing the small book and pen on one of the bedside tables. She noticed it, but didn't ask what it was to my relief. I wasn't exactly ready to start explaining what I was trying to do just yet. "Hey, Elaina, was it? Uh, thank you... f-for trying to help us. I apologise for pulling a gun on you so quickly, the situation just wasn't the-"

But I cut her off quickly. "No, I totally understand—you guys were stressed, and honestly I'd have chosen another time to come talk to you guys if I'd known a specific location you went to later in the film, but in that moment the hospital was all I could think of. I just... I hope I can make a difference." I said softly, smiling back at the red head before stepping into the bathroom and locking the door. Only once I knew I was completely alone did I let myself bend over the sink, actually letting all the emotions that had been trying to show themselves the whole day out.

Breathing shakily, I composed myself a minute or so later, turning to tap on with shaking hands and letting the cold water rush over my fingers for a few seconds before splashing some on my face. I didn't have a change or anything, so I just had to settle for staying in only the clean black vest I had had on underneath my top, and the same old slightly ripped jeans once I'd come out of the quickest shower of my life. I hadn't exactly been comfortable taking the liberty to start showering in the middle of a time like this, but if Natasha had I decided I could take a few minutes for myself, especially since Steve and Sam seemed more than happy to be chatting with one another.

I was tying my still wet hair back into a ponytail as I walked out of the bathroom a few minutes later, seeing Natasha was sitting on the bed, looking at something on her phone. Steve took even less time than the two of us to get ready, and was also lucky enough to just be able to borrow some of Sam's clothes instead of having to stick with his old ones. I went back to my book when I realised Steve wanted to talk to Natasha, trying to act like I was paying no attention to their conversation as the super soldier came over to where she sat.

"What's going on?" he asked her softly—me getting more and more uncomfortable eavesdropping on their talk by the second, even though I'd already heard it in perfect detail before.

There was a few seconds of silence before Natasha replied, "When I first joined SHIELD I thought I was going straight. But... I guess I just traded in the KGB for HYRDA." she said with a bitter laugh. "I thought I knew whose lies I was telling, but I guess I can't tell the difference anymore."

"Well... there's a chance you may be in the wrong business." Steve deadpanned, his callback to their earlier conversation causing Natasha to laugh in surprise. They spoke for a few more minutes before Sam stuck his head into the door frame.

"I made breakfast," he said, "If... you guys eat that sort of thing." Even though I was far from in the mood to sit down and start eating a meal, it would have been rude to say no, so I followed Natasha and Steve out of the room, shutting the book and sliding it into my back pocket this time, wanting to make sure I wouldn't lose it.

"So, the question is who at SHIELD could launch a domestic missile strike?" Steve asked and Natasha looked at me, as if asking if I wanted to explain.

"Oh, right, uh, it was Pierce." I started as I grabbed a slice of buttered bread—that being enough for now. "But he's not working alone, there's another mole who's spoken about in the movie—Jasper Sitwell. You guys... you go find him and then throw him off of a building for information."

Before Steve or Natasha could say anything, Sam raised an eyebrow, looking at me as he placed down the bottle of jam he had been carrying over to the table we sat around. "Hold up, what movie are you talking about? And now wait a second... who did you say you were, again?"
