I wrote this chapter months ago - every other part of this story though I have written all in the past 5 days (16 parts total). I should probably proof read this. I do not want to. I am so sorry if this chapter is drastically different than all the other ones!

Thanks for reading! Enjoy the story! I suggest listening to the music/watching the videos offered either before or after. Especially for the chapters following, due to them being so visually important to see the inspiration.

The Los Angeles traffic was terrible as usual, mixtures of songs in different cars clashed and combined. Creating an odd melody. Some songs of all genres; pop, rap, jazz, hiphop, rock, indie, some festive music due to it being winter, though you'd never be able to tell it.

In a 1983 Dodge Riviera, a man with dark black hair brushed back, who had a bit of a scruffy beard. He kept replaying a tape of Thelonious Monk's "Japanese Folk Song", the same part repeatedly.

In front of the man is a light green 2005 Prius. In the traffic sat Wendy Testaburger, a 23 year old barista. Her hair was black, her skin pale, and eyes brown. She had her phone up practicing a script as she sat in the traffic.

Things to know about Wendy Testaburger;
She is an aspiring actress, about 4 years ago without a nickel to her name she had hopped onto a bus and now here she stayed. Maybe she was brave, or perhaps just insane.
But one thing that way sure was, she would reach the heights, chase the lights that shine. 'Cause she knew, when others let you down, you get off the ground.

Wendy muttered about the paper as she opened the folds, engorging herself with it. Skimming the print to find the time she was supposed to be at the audition and where it was.
The noise of cars moving and their loud music was tuned out by her. Purely trying to succeed her goal of finding the time and place.
Until, a loud, undying, honk finally made her look up. She was annoyed, looking out the rear view mirror.

There she saw the, borderline black haired, man from behind her. He was shaking his head and honking aggressively, with a firm glare at her. He swerved up by her, honking a few more times. Wendy flipped him off before the man drove away, honking a few more times for good measure.

Wendy sat there with an angry sigh, "what is his problem?" She said to nobody in particular, she looked at the audition paper and muttered, "I should go." Before pushing the gas and driving to work.

Café 'Sur Le Lot', where Wendy worked, wasn't exactly the most ideal but it wasn't necessarily completely shit.
A costumer wakes her out of her thoughts,
"This doesn't taste like almond milk." Wendy was 100% sure she put in almond.
"Don't worry. It is! I know sometimes..." Wendy was interrupted by the angry costumer.
"Can I see the carton?" With a curt nod, Wendy hands over the carton. The costumer looks over it for a little while before announcing,
"I'll have a black coffee." Wendy tries not to sigh aloud, turning to get the coffee. Taking a moment to look at the script while she does so.
She grabs the coffee and gives it to the costumer, eager to see them leave. And as they do, she sighs slightly in relief.

Not even a moment later, a woman walks in with sunglasses. She walks in heels and all attention runs to her. There's whispers, stares. Wendy looks and realizes that this is Jennifer Lopez!
"Cappuccino, please." She says. Before Wendy can even move, Tweek, Wendy's manager, steps in and gives Jennifer Lopez the cappuccino.
"On us." He says, with a smile that was between one of excitement and proudness.
"No, I insist." Jennifer Lopez said, handing the money over before putting a couple bills in the tip jar.
As she leaves, both Tweek and Wendy stare outside to watch her leave. She gets into golf cart with a studio employee, driving off.
See, this Café was right by a Warner Bros. Filming studio. It was PERFECT for Wendy! Seeing people in action of doing her passion. It motivated and inspired her to continue on with her dream.

There's a moment of silence and wonder, before Wendy hears a ring. She looks down at her phone to see who's calling her.
"MOM"
She presses "ignore". Taking a moment to look at the time. 4:07.

"Shit." Wendy muttered before removing her apron, turning around to hurry out before Tweek stops her.
"Where do Y-YOU think you're going?"
"It's... 5 past."
"You'd better– ACK- be early Tomor-tomorrow."
"Ok." Wendy sighed, grabbing her script and hurrying out the door.
Before she rams into the costumer, hot coffee soiling her white button up. She stands there in shock, wide eyed and breathing heavily.

The audition room, Wendy has a large and thick winter coat, used to cover the stain on her shirt.
Her phone is up, used as a prop, and she is repeating the script for a casting director,
"And I swear to god, she was wrecked! It was pure lunacy... oh god. I know!"
Wendy's nerves are very strong and obvious. But she continued her script. "No, no, Turner's fine. So you... are you waiting til Denver to tell her...?" There's a pause and Wendy stops smiling.
"Oh I see." She starts crying, "ok, I just..."
There is an assistant trying to get the casting directors attention, at the door hitting the window, muffled asking for the director is heard. Wendy ignores, trying to finish her audition, crying.
"No, I'm happy for you! I... I just..."
She's interrupted by the casting director, "one second."

Wendy wipes her fake tears, watching as the director waves in the assistant. The assistant hurries in, giving the director a post it note. Wendy stares as she holds the fake tears in her eyes so she can continue flawlessly. But, the director mutters something to the assistant and looks up at Wendy.
"I think we're good. Thanks for coming in."
Wendy sighs, exiting the audition room. The hall is full of people who have the same traits as Wendy, some prettier and others not. All wearing basically the same outfit. Minus the huge coat.
She walks to the elevator, zipping down the coat she was wearing, revealing the coffee-stained white button up with two women by her almost identical to her just without the defeated slouch and coffee stain.
Wendy is sure that Audition went shit.
But whatever.
When morning rolls around.
It's another day of sun!

I AM DELTA_SPACE AND I HAPPILY AND EXCITEDLY PRESENT TO YOU, STENDY LALALAND THE MUSICAL SOUTH PARK FANFICTION THING!
Taking from my passion for musical theater and love for the preforming arts, and my absolute obsession with the hit show South Park, I decided this was perfect! I have ideas and plans laid out, and honestly this will be EASY because it is literally just LaLaLand! But I don't wanna draw a 2 hour musical... so I'm gonna write it! And I think this is perfect for me practicing other writing styles!

I have already pre-written this story, but I'll most likely still edit bits and pieces. Though, I finished writing this whole story at... 4:17 AM, December 30th, 2025. I think I will post the chapters either every week or every other week - most likely on a sunday or saturday or something. Like, Stendy Sunday or Stendy Saturday, I think that'd be silly.

If you've come from "Too Much Pressure" or another one of my fics, thank you and welcome back! I hope you enjoyed my other works and enjoy this too!
And if you're new to my writing, WELCOME! Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy and feel my passion for writing and South Park and theatre and music!
I hope you continue reading this and enjoy it greatly, feel free to criticize and cringe and laugh and just, be real! Because real reactions create real feelings that create real criticism that create real change that creates real improvement! Which is what I aspire to do! Take those real reactions and feelings and criticism and for me to change and improve!

Thank you again for reading this first chapter, I'm so excited to continue this!
I hope you have a wonderful day, night, week, weekend, morning, evening, afternoon, whatever it is! I hope it's great and you have a great one!
Sincerely, your author,
