Don't Hide from Me

Seungmin stood, quickly bowing in apology and looking at the guy. "It's okay i-" he was wearing a cap, basically shielding his face from the darkness over it. But Seungmin knew, those eyes calling him behind those shadows - a pair of eyes he dread to meet.

"Don't worry."

He is clueless.

"It's my fault."

Why is he apologising?

Seungmin stepped back horrified. It cannot be the same person can it? But they sound so similar, voice always laced with concern and worry.

He must be mistaken.

Chan can't be in New York. Not now, not when he has big day tomorrow not when he was going to enjoy the city - and not when he was trying so hard to forget about him.

This is a nightmare.

"Um... you alright?"

"Chan hyung!"

Seungmin turned in a flash of light, heart hammering when he saw Hyunjin. His legs wobbled when he realised he was coming towards them.

He was going to stay away from them. But isn't it suppose to be Felix and Hyunjin? His brain cannot comprehend the situation right now.

"I got the keys-" Hyunjin paused. He was looking at Seungmin and he saw how Hyunjin eyes popped out of its sockets - how his mouth dropped. Seungmin stared at him, gaze never faltering even when Hyunjin's eyes flickered between him and Chan.

"Cool, let's go."

Chan walked pass him, not bothering to worry why Hyunjin looked so horrified for a second. Hyunjin inhaled, with a one last glance at Seungmin he ran after Chan.

And Seungmin...

He ran for his dear life.

Seungmin wasn't expecting a text from Hyunjin that soon. He was hiding away in a nearby cafe, trying to enjoy the cold america which is as bitter as his love life.

He stared at the massege, hesitating to reply. Hyunjin is still online, probably waiting for him to reply. He felt bad ignoring him, some who was dear ro him. Last time he had initiated tetxing with Jisung and it didn't turn out to be that bad.

Seungmin sighed, he was a weak man when it comes to stray kids.

Hyunnjinn:

He read Hyunjin message, for the third time. He doesn't want to be awkward. But he do wnat ti avoid them as much as he can and meeting Hyunjin was out of his bucket list.

How was he supposed to sneak out without his manager knowing his whereabouts?

Seungmin froze. He hated that Hyunjin knows that he is avoiding this cause of Chan.

He is afraid, a coward when it comes to love. He wished he could be bold, just like Minho and Jisung.

Stray kids had alreday completed their 6th year as idols and with the lift of the dating bane, and the new contract they had gotten more freedom to Express themselves. (Not gonna lie that he has seen Felix wilding on stage lately - basically torso naked).

Jisung and Minho never confirmed their relationship but fans have been shipping them all over. Even the company doesn't seem to care about it - giving those two a seperate dorm.

Seungmin bit his lip.

If Chan doesn't know it wouldn't do harm right? It's just Hyunjin. He didn't want more bad blood with him.
