Start from the beginning

"You." He whispered.

"You." I grinned back.

"As heart warming as this is," Helen dragged our attention over to her. "I'm about to shoot your friend."

Kiyo immediately glared at Helen.

"I have been waiting for this for three years, you can fúcking wait." He growled lowly at her, his voice so deep it nearly shook the walls.

"KD, come now, that's not the best way to greet me." She false pouted.

"I've been following you for nearly two years, the best way would be if I had drowned you in that pool back in the Permian last year."

"You followed her?" I spoke quietly.

"Thought she could get me back home but I never trusted her. Some of the shit she did..." He trailed off as he glared at his once favourite aunt. "I never approached, just followed. As we were taught."

Helen smirked as she faced back to Abby and Connor.

"Line of view." She spoke.

Kiyo and I shared a look before deciding it was best to follow her. We moved to stand near Abby and Connor, so she could see us.

"So you found me." She spoke to Connor directly. "I'm surprised you had the brains to figure it out."

"Whatever you're up to, it ends now." Connor spoke levelly.

Helen tilted her head back as her eyes narrowed on him.

"Who's going to stop me?" She let out a dry laugh. "You, Barbie and the reject assassins?"

"Just watch us." Abby spoke huskily.

Helen glared at us all for a moment, her gaze switching between us. Suddenly, she changed position so the gun pointed towards the ceiling. A moment later she placed in back on the table and instead picked up the artefact. She leaned her elbows on the table as she held it out in front of her.

"Nick knew this was important," She spoke quietly. "But he didn't know why."

"He would have done...." I spat with a glare. "If you hadn't have murdered him."

"What?!" Kiyo glared as he stepped forward, fists clenched.

"Helen shot Nicky... In cold blood." I didn't take my eyes off Helen.

She leaned back at my words and I'm happy to announce the tears that filled her eyes. I hope she's guilty and in pain, she deserves that and so much more.

Kiyo growled from next to me, but I wrapped my fingers through his, calming him down.

"I have speant everyday since his death... Working it out." She stared at the artefact in her hands. "At this moment," she moved the artefact verticle and began to slide it in a slot on the table. It fit perfectly. "I know, that he would have understood."

"You keep telling yourself that Helen." Kiyo glared. "Maybe one day you'll start to believe it."

"It doesn't matter now." She smiled at is. "Soon, none of this will have ever happened."

She began tapping on the table again as different screens flashed across it.

"What are you going to do?" Connor glared at her.

"Oh you're going to like this, Connor." She smiled but didn't raise her head. "I, am going to save the world." She ended in a whisper.

Suddenly, Danny chuckled painfully from the floor to our left.
