Chapter 21

Three months later
April

These last three months have flown by. I'm now seven months pregnant and my relationship with Blake has grown stronger. I haven't seen Daniel since that day back in January, and I was thankful for that.

Today, I was going to go out to lunch with Briana and Sarabi. Last week, Blake had a conference in Texas, and ever since he's been back, he's been acting different. I'll try to hold a conversation with him and he barely talks.

As I was getting ready, he was laying down doing something on his phone.

"Hey, where are you going?" He asked

"Out to lunch with my friends." I said

"I thought we were going to spend the day together."

"And we still can, after I come back from lunch. Why do you care anyway? Ever since you've been back you've been avoiding me." I said

"No I haven't. It's... It's just work. That's all."

"Just work. Sure." I said dryly, "Anyways, I'm leaving. I'll be back later."

Bye. Be safe. Love you."

"Mhm"

The girls and I decided on going to this new Italian restaurant to have lunch. I agreed to meet them there and once I got there they were already at a table.

"Hey, ladies!" I said

"Hey, girl!" That both said standing up to give me a hug

"Look at you! How have you been?" Bri asked

"Things have been okay. How about you? It seems like we haven't talked in forever." I said

"Things have been good for me." Bri said

"Wow, I can't believe that your going to be a mom!" Sarabi said

"I know. Me either." I said

"So, how have things been with Blake?" Bri asked

"It could be better." I said with a sigh

"Why? What did he do? Do I need to beat him up?" Bri asked

"Haha, no. He's just... I don't know. Since he's been back, he barely talks to me. Anyways, let's change the subject."

The rest of the lunch went on and I had a great time. Sadly, it was time to go, and I didn't want to.

"Well I'm going to talk to you all later." I said walking to my car

"Okay. Bye, girl." Bri said

"Let me know if Blake is still acting up. If he is, call me and Bri and we'll be over to kick his ass!" Sarabi said

"Haha, okay. Bye."

While on the way home, I called Blake and he didn't answer. Of course. I pulled up to the house and saw an unfamiliar car parked in front of the house.

Who the hell is this

I walked into the house and all of the lights were out.

"Blake" I called out

No answer

I walked up the stairs to see if he was up there. I got to our bedroom door and it was closed. I opened it and I was shocked at what I saw.
