*Voight Residence*

". . .You and me until the end. . ."

"No . . . I can't. . ."

BANG!

"AGH!"

"HENRY!"

Ana shot up in bed, gasping for breath as her husband's name sat on the tip of her tongue. She brought a hand up to her forehead and let out a soft whimper, willing her racing heart to slow down. After a few minutes, the brunette glanced over at the window and found that the sun's warm rays could just barely be seen poking through the blinds. She finally took a deep breath and rolled over, coming face to face with an empty mattress.

"Of course." The tired woman muttered under her breath.

Her gaze switched to the nightstand, finding some breakfast foods on it along with a note.

Went to Little Village again. Don't wait up.

~Henry

Ana just scoffed and resisted the irrational urge to crumple the note. Instead, she folded it neatly and placed inside the drawer along with all the others. The brunette sighed and readjusted herself before falling back into a fitful sleep.

*A Few Hours Later*

Ana awoke once more to the sound of her phone buzzing. She let out a groan and blindly grabbed for it.

"Yeah." The tired woman answered, holding the device up to her ear.

"Hey, Sarge." The voice of Jay Halstead greeted. "Uh, Voight said not to call you, that you weren't feeling so hot, but. . ."

"No, no. It's fine." The brunette assured, immediately, sitting up a little. "What's going on, Bluejay?"

"We caught another case or, more accurately, Voight did. Another overdose in Little Village but, Sarge, the victim's just a kid. 5 years old." The Detective finally revealed after hesitating a bit longer. "He sprinkled the dope on some strawberries probably thinking it was sugar. I just thought you should know."

Ana was wide awake now and already in the process of getting dressed.

"Thanks, Bluejay, I'll be there in 10 minutes." She hung up and shrugged on a black sweater in place of her usual leather jacket before reaching for Alvin's hat resting on her dresser.

The tired woman sat back on the bed and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Her gaze drifted back to the food on the nightstand after a moment and she sighed, fondly, before moving to pick it up.

*District 21: Interrogation Area*

Hailey and Jay exited the Observation Room and met up with Hank in the hallway.

"There's no way this Enzo guy is gonna have a million in dope." The blonde pointed out. "You can't promise Davy 20 grand."

"Then I lied." The older man turned to face her with a glare. "Listen to me. I want this son of a bitch Enzo for as long as we can get him, you understand? Not on a dime bag. He'd be out in a day. I want him for decades-"

"So find us a cop." Another, very familiar, voice continued for him. "Someone who can go under with Davy and make a big enough buy. Most importantly, we need someone who this Enzo isn't just gonna eat alive."
