Round 13

-Are you sure that you're not too tired to go to dinner? Lando asks.

-Babe, I'm fine. I laugh tying my shoes.

My sleep has not been the best. My nightmares have been filled with Austria's race.

He looks at me with a huge smile, taking me for a hug.

-You look amazing. He smiles.

-Do you think they'll like me?

-Of course, they will.

I wipe my hands on the pants I'm wearing.

-Stop worrying. He laughs.

-You'll need to meet my mom.

-Whenever you want. Can't be more stressful than meeting Kimi.

I laugh, turning around in his arms. I get on my tippy toes to kiss him. He kisses me back slowly.

-I really like you E. He smiles.

-I really like you too Lan. I smile, blushing slightly.

...

We arrive at the restaurant, and I wipe my shaky hands on my pants.

-What if they don't like me? I ask.

-They will, everything about you is likable. He laughs.

I let a shaky breath out.

-Let's go. I say.

-All right. He says getting out.

He walks around the car to open my door.

We walk into the restaurant, his hand on the small of my back directing me.

We get to the table, and I see everyone. My hands shake as Lando hugs everyone.

-And you must be Eevie. His mom says.

-Hi, yes. Nice to meet you. I say.

-You are so pretty. She says.

-Thank you, your dress is beautiful.

-E, this is Cisca, Flo, and Oliver. He says pointing to his siblings.

-Hi, nice to meet you all. I smile.

We sit down.

-So, Eevie, do you have any siblings? His dad asks.

-I'm the oldest of six kids.

-Oh, that's great, loads of kids. He laughs.

-I don't really know half of them but yeah.

-Yeah, Lando mentioned your dad once. His mom says.

He talks about me to his mom? Yay me.

-Yeah, he's quite the character. I laugh slowly, taking a sip of the wine.

The conversation goes on until the food arrives. This seems amazing.

-Lando, do you remember when you crashed my first car? Oliver asks.

-Please don't. Lando pleads.

-Oh. I do. His mom laughs.

I let a small laugh out, seeing Lando's distraught expression.

-He was 16 and Oli just had bought his first car. Lando didn't have his license even if he raced. So, one night, for I don't know which reason. His mom starts.
