Chapter 4 : A Simple Date

"E-EHH?! YOU GUYS ARE DATING?!" A shocked Ino exclaimed, Sakura nodding, "Yeah. You got an issue with that, Ino-pig?"

"Of course, Billboard Brow!" Ino argued back, "What about Hinata?"

Sakura pressed her lips together, remembering the incident that occured just a week ago. She still felt guilty for falling for Naruto when Hinata had felt that way for ages, but Hinata insisted, and did so when the two just as so ran into each other. The pinkette sighed, looking down at her hands that began playing around with each other.

"You didn't tell her?"

"A-Are you kidding me? S-She overheard me telling Naruto how I felt because he kept pestering me.. but she insisted that me and Naruto become a couple.." Sakura mumbled, slight guilt in her tone, but was stopped by Ino.

"Hinata will be fine. Besides, she deserves more than Naruto-"

"What are you implying?" Sakura asked, raising a brow.

"Not like that. I mean over the years the two barely chat. It was like me liking Sasuke. Even if he was still handsome, that's that. I somewhat like Sai. He's sweet."

"No.. No he isn't. He's an unbearable little twat. I bet you he called you gorgeous back then because and I quote, 'I read it in a book that yaddah yadda ya.' He tried calling me ugly once. And I can say that he didn't want for him to get another bruising from a woman." Sakura said and nodded, earning a weirded look from Ino before she sighed, shaking her head, "Well.. whatever. But I'm saying Hinata deserves more than that. But skip that we'll talk more about that later. You have a date with Naruto."

"What? It's not for another hour."

"Sakura, Sakura. While you were too invested becoming a medical ninja, I took my time and got in touch with my girl side. You need to freshen up. Even if you are already beautiful, make yourself more beautiful."

"I know how to put on makeup, Ino-pig." Sakura said bluntly, crossing her arms. Ino sighed, "Then put some on,"

"I don't want to. I'm already ready now, and if I even so mess up, I'm going to take forever trying to make it right and then I'll be late."

Ino sighed again, placing her hands on her hips, "Geez, you.."

Sakura snickered as she then gotten up, "Knowing this is going to be out first date though, that idiot is probably already making his way to meet me."

Naruto gulped, he standing near the door to Sakura's house. He was nervous, and with nothing else to do, he patiently waited for the time to pass by. He wanted to make the first date they'd have magical. Take her to some good place other than Ichiraku even if he wanted to go there, but Sakura deserved to go to some better place than his constant urge for ramen.

"Naruto? You're here early." Sakura had already gotten back from Ino's place and now stood by the stairs that lead to her house entrance.

"S-Sakura-chan.. Heh.. I gotten nervous.." Naruto mumbled, chuckling nervously, "But since you're here.. Should we just.. go?"

"Sounds good," Sakura agreed and smiled, seeing the enthusiastic expression coming to his face.
