Firstly, school was exhausting. If it weren't for his super-cool enhanced stamina, Peter was sure he would collapse at his desk every morning and ask Ned to take notes for him. Secondly, there was Aunt May to worry about, because she didn't knowthat extra curricular actually meant fighting crime, or that Stark Internship was secretly code for Tony Stark is my superhero mentor.
Having an arch nemesis like the Viper wasn't making it any easier, either. Almost every night, they would run into one another, and despite their innumerable fights, neither one of them ever seemed close to giving up. But Peter was invested now ─ he knew it, despite what he told himself ─ and he would see it through that he showed the Viper the light. He could bring him to goodness.
When Peter and Briar were partnered for a Biology project, neither of them had any idea of what they were getting into, or what hidden truths bubbled beneath the surface.

There will be a lot of changes from the "canonical" MCU timeline with this series, because Marvel kind of forgot how time works from Homecoming onwards, but I'm currently drafting a document with a concise timeline to share if any of you are interested in how the SpiderViper series differs from the real MCU series.

The theme of domestic abuse / controlling relationships is very strong within the story (particularly paternal figure and child), so if you feel uncomfortable with this, I suggest that you don't continue.
