I now live in a big city, I'm not too fond of it exactly, but this is where I live with my mom and my sister, when she has custody. I live somewhere else in the city with my dad's taking my sister with me when they have custody. Honestly, I liked it more when all of us lived in the country. Back then, our family felt more connected and less angry. But, wishing the past away would change the fact that now, I have two dads. Plus I love getting triple the presents on my birthday.

Now you may wonder why I don't like big cities as much as the country. It's many reasons so let me start simple.

People always talk about how they prefer big cities over rural areas. While there was lots of empty space in the country, so there was nowhere good to work and they would only go there for a vacation. But I always disliked big cities. Therefore I knew I didn't have the popular opinion. My problem with big cities was it was big city this, big city that. It's great to be at for work. It's great for that, but personally I think all its good reputation is all lies. Why? It's because big cities were and always will be far different from our town, they had a bigger population, people were more selfish, there was more waste on the beach, and less water for everyone resulting in higher water prices, more expensive food, a more pathogenic environment...aka one that has more toxins, one that has poor air quality, one that has a high level of noise, light pollution, and little to no reserved spaces to just let nature thrive, plus homogenous neighborhoods that all look the same, and I know other young people my age these days from suburban and rural area's often dream of moving to a big city.

Sharing a walk up apartment with friends or living it up in a tiny studio, and to them it seems to be a small price to pay to be at the center of everything in a city like new york, however I just call them crazy cause who in they're right mind would want to be cooped up like that?! There can be endless things to do but rampant crime depending on the area makes it pointless to go there. individuals living in a small apartments in New York or other urban areas may love city life, however, the population density, and mental health issues that can arise from being awakened by sirens, gunshots, and or other loud noises can take a toll on individuals, putting them in a state of hypervigilance and urban stress, and constantly experiencing these events can result in feeling anxious and depressed due to fear of being the target of harm.

You see, life in this small town of ours that i used to live in wasn't always easy, but it sure was easier then in the city, and of course nothing in life is always easy. It never was and never will be easy. In a small town such as this small town i speak of...well everybody knows everybody. It is was beautiful landscape, a very close knit community that I used to just love that I was a part of at only the age of 5, after moving to the town for better education. On Mondays through Fridays me and my sister would go to school and talk with our fellow community members, on Saturday's we go to local parks and just hang around with other kids, where no one would be a stranger because keep in mind. Everybody knows everybody. On Sunday's we all get up bright early in the morning and go to church which I don't really care about church, but my mom does so that's what matters apparently. I guess my opinion isn't as valid as I thought, and my mother apparently can just ignore my opinion whenever she wants, whatever time, whatever place, for some stupid reason. As i was saying, we'd have brunch together at our local restaurant that basically everyone here is a regular at. When you need help you can easily go to your local library to look up the information and or talk to one of your 500 neighbors along the way, because when I say everybody knows everybody. I mean it. This community is very small for the land's size, it is a town that has only has 501 members including me and I used to love it. Until recently where its been hard to love that everybody knows everybody.

I used to love that everyone knew my name and I knew there's, because based on a theory of a very smart person with such a close knit community like ours. They said, that we were bound by providing for each other and many peaceful, prosperous days ahead for many days and years to come, but now that I've seen what bad can come from everyone knowing my name, I don't quite like it anymore.
