Nathalie rolled off, followed by Flora and Oliver. She reached her hand out to Sebastian and helped him up. Johnny shook his head at them in disappointment before he began speaking again, informing them of the next task. He walked away, instructing them to follow.
Nathalie, Flora, Oliver, and Sebastian walked together as they followed Johnny.
"You okay?" Nathalie asked her brother.
Sebastian nodded. "Yeah, I'm good."
Nathalie patted him on the back gently, comforting him for a few seconds before smacking him hard.
"Ow!" Sebastian yelped. "What was that for?"
"For making us fall," Nathalie responded. "Why else?"
Nathalie walked away, catching up with the rest of the class. Flora shook her head at the girl before she ran to catch up, standing next to her.
"Grab anything you can find to hit things with," Johnny instructed. "A pipe, a rod, a piece of furniture. Whatever you can find."
They all stared at him in confusion.
"Go!" Johnny screamed.
They all dispersed around the junkyard to find an object like Johnny had described. Nathalie held an old car pipe. Flora had a pole of some sort. She couldn't tell what it had belonged to. Oliver had found a wooden chair leg, and Sebastian, of all things, somehow managed to find a metal baseball bat.
"You know you aren't keeping that, right?" Nathalie asked him.
"How come?" Sebastian asked.
Nathalie raised an eyebrow at him. "You swinging around a metal baseball bat anywhere near our apartment is a recipe for disaster."
Sebastian scowled at her, turning his head back to Johnny.
"Your enemies are all around you," Johnny told them. "Destroy them!"
He handed them safety glasses before letting them go. Nathalie and Flora walked into the garage area. The two girls stood in front of an old junk car and began smashing the windows. Glass shattered and flew everywhere. Nathalie was pretty sure some of it had landed in her hair.
Smashing car windows was nothing new to her. When her first boyfriend had broken up with her halfway into freshman year, Nathalie had taken a baseball bat to his car in the parking lot. She ended up getting suspended, which seemed like child's play when it came to punishment. Marisol, on the other hand, had not gone that easy on her.
Nathalie smashed the windshield, watching the glass shatter before glancing at Flora.
"Bet you're glad we dragged you out of bed now, huh?" Flora asked.
Nathalie flipped her off, smiling at her best friend. Flora just laughed and smashed the side of the car with the pole in her hands.
"Hell, yeah!" Sebastian shouted from across the garage, causing Nathalie and Flora to turn in his direction.
"That's what I'm talking about!" Oliver cheered as he gave Sebastian a high-five.
Johnny told them to fall in once again. Nathalie and Flora walked out of the garage, joining the rest of their classmates where Johnny stood in front of a large and rusted blue bin. He wanted them to walk across a flat metal beam, which seemed easy enough.
"Just don't fall into the sharp scrap metal and glass."
Nathalie tilted her head, her face scrunched up in confusion and shock. She turned, looking at Flora to see a similar look on her face.
