REDEFINE

"GRAYLIN WAKE UP AND TURN YOUR ALARM OFF!!" A hoarse voice screams. Graylin wakes up groggily, finally turning off his alarm that was blaring loudly. "Ughh i must have forgot to turn it off last night." He shakes his head trying to shake himself up. He goes about doing his daily hygiene finally settling down after grabbing his massive book about refinements and opening it on his desk. He reads happily having only gotten the book a couple months ago. As he reads he suddenly get hit with a blinding light. "AGGHH!!" The young boy screams before having his dad rush in to see what happened to his son who is now on the ground. "Graylin!!" As his dad screams The young boy looks up to his dad tears rushing down his face the glasses he had on cracked on the floor. "Are you okay?" His dad asks, concerned. "It finally happened dad. I think I just got my refinement."

–Refinements are abilities given by an unknown source that allows people to have supernatural abilities and anyone can have a refinement. Once a refinement is gained it can be trained and leveled up. A person can get multiple refinements but it is a rare phenomenon. Refinements also evolve little by little as it's improved to have different functions but all help with said refinement (for example a lot of construction workers have superhuman strength to help them carry materials.)--

"Wait, what is it? What happened? What did you do?" His father asked excitedly. "I don't know I was reading my book about refinements and I just got flash banged." As he said this he looked up to his dad closer and saw a status window in front of him.

"DAD I SEE YOUR REFINEMENT." He says his once brown eyes are now glowing yellow. "So your refinement is to see other people's refinements?" "Yeah and it shows me how it works you have trajectory manipulation thats so fucking cool!!" "Hey language." Marcus says stern. "Sorry but I'm just so excited!" Graylin laughs jumping up and down like a kid on Christmas before his mom walks in tired with a cup of coffee. "What did I miss?" she asks, confused. "Well our son finally got his refinement" As he says this Graylin's eyes begin to glow again before he sees his mom's info.

She says with a smirk on her face. "I made your favorite in the kitchen by the way so go eat before it gets cold." "OOOO CHEESY HASHBROWNS" Graylin books it to the kitchen as his parent's laugh and follow him.
