Running Into Trouble

He Didn't Listen

Elijah glares at him, taking a breath he asks "I'm going to ask, please answer truthfully Niklaus. Where are our siblings" 

Klaus looks him over, "I give you my word they are safe, and I will reunite you with them soon" noticing Elijah believes him, he asks "Now I have a question, why are you working against me"

Sitting on the couch, the two brothers spoke. Elijah explained what had led him to the path he had went on. Told him that he had planned to kill him if he had gotten rid of their siblings. Klaus could understand but that didn't mean he was happy about it. The men looked up as Lyra walked back up to them. 

"Okay, I know exactly what I will need but I'm going to need some help" she began, getting a confirmation from the two men she continued, "I need a pint of blood from a werewolf, a pint of blood from a vampire" pausing she looks at Klaus sternly, "I need a pint of blood from the doppelganger, maybe two but only one for the ritual. Bring all of the items, including the spell and moonstone, to me by Friday at noon. I will make sure everything is ready before moonrise"

Klaus and Elijah tell her they will help. Lyra hands her address over to Klaus and tells him she will see him on Friday. Elijah tells his brother they will speak soon, then heads out with Lyra.

Arriving back to her home, Lyra invites Elijah in for dinner. He goes to decline but she manages to get him to come inside.

Teddy crawls towards Lyra as soon as she walks in. "Ma, ma, ma" he babbles when he sees her. Bending down and scooping him up, they nuzzle noses in greeting.

"Did my big boy miss his mama" Lyra asks, moving into the house so Elijah can enter. Teddy replies by landing a slobbery kiss on her face.

Laughing, Lyra turns to Elijah "Make yourself comfy. I'm going to check on Bipsy and dinner".

Elijah sits, watching as Teddy begins a staring contest. He must decide Elijah is okay because he crawls towards him. Sitting on his bottom, he stares up to Elijah on the couch. 

Watching as Teddy crawls towards him, he just stares. He didn't have much experience with children. The last child he was near was before he had been turned. Elijah notices that Teddy was staring him down. His mouth quirks up, "You're protective of your mother"

Sliding off the couch, Elijah sits next to Teddy on the floor. Watching the boy, he's surprised at his hair and eyes become the same as his own. The boy must pick up on his surprise because his hair cycles through different colors before settling on blue. 

"What in the world" he whispers, he calls out "Lyra"

"Yes" Lyra replies, walking back into the room. Noticing Elijah on the floor she looks from him to her son. "I should have warned you, I knew I forgot something during our talk" she says. Sitting next to Elijah. "I spell his hair when we are in public, but I let him be normal at home". The look on Elijah's face makes her laugh. "I told you I was a different kind of witch"

"You said but this is remarkable. I've never seen anything like this" Elijah says, indicating Teddy's hair. "How have your kind stayed hidden, especially with the technology out now"

Lyra tries to think how to explain it. The only thing she can relate it to was Hitler. She explained Grindelwald and the first war. "I have books that explain it all better, you can read them" she tells him. 

"That would be great" he replies, "But how did he change his hair and eyes"

Lyra tells him about Tonks and Remus. She explains what a metamorphagus is and how he inherited the trait.

"I actually came in to tell you dinner was ready" Lyra says, standing and scooping Teddy up. They all head to the dining room. "Also, you're going to meet Bipsy"

"The nanny elf" He questions. Lyra nods.

Dinner is spent explaining more about herself and Teddy. Elijah tells her of what he has seen throughout his long life. Lyra was fascinated.

Lyra walked Elijah to the door after dinner. "Thank you for staying, I know I kind of pushed" she says.

Elijah smiles, "I enjoyed it. I had a good time, you and your son are great company"

"So, I guess I'll see you on Friday" she says, looking up at him.

Elijah nods, "Friday. Maybe after this is over, I could cook you dinner" he says, smiling at her.

Lyra is surprised but nods, "That would be lovely" she smiles.

Elijah turns after stepping out the door. Taking her hand in his, he places a kiss on her knuckles. Lyra's breath catches and she blushes.

"I will see you on Friday Lyra" Elijah tells her, turning and heading to his car.

Lyra goes inside when he leaves, leaning against the closed door she thinks 'Did that just happen' She felt butterflies take flight in her stomach. Smiling to herself she takes Teddy up to bed.

Cuddling in the bed, she pulled her book out to read for a bit. Too bad her mind was preoccupied with thoughts of the man she had just left at her door. He was such a gentleman and it seemed he may fancy her. She knew she would have dreams of Elijah that night. It was definitely going to be a good night. Putting the book down she headed off to dreamland.
