Running Into Trouble

He Didn't Listen

"Elijah, I have a question" When he looked to her she continued, "How do you know Klaus dumped your siblings in the ocean. I only ask because they are his siblings as well and from what you have told me, family means everything to you all" Elijah thought over that. 

"I would have to speak with him, it's been a bit since I've actually spoke to him" Elijah tells her. 

Lyra then brought up the curse, "I'm going to break the curse"

"Why would you help Niklaus do that! People will die" Elijah asks.

"I can break it without Elena's death. I know you may not believe that, but I know I can. I just need to see the actual spell" she tells him.

Elijah asks quietly, "He's not forcing you to help, is he"

Lyra smiles, "No Elijah. I'm helping of my own free will. I want to do it my way so no one will die" she takes a deep breath before adding, "I've seen so much senseless death in my life, I want to be able to save someone from that fate" turning her head, she wipes the tears that escaped.

Elijah stares at her, he is amazed by how strong she is. "I want to go with you when you speak with my brother. I don't trust him not to try and double cross you. When are you to meet" he asks.

Lyra tells him the plan that she had discussed with Klaus. She also thinks it will be good for the two hardheaded men to speak. Elijah tells her that he will pick her up tomorrow to take her to the meeting.

Elijah was still unsure about the meeting but knew Lyra was going with or without him. The drive to Alaric's apartment was mostly silent. He had asked about Teddy and Lyra enthralled him with the tales of her boy. Pulling into the parking lot, he opened her door and made sure to walk with her, never letting her out of his sight. 

Lyra was surprised by who answered the door when she knocked, "Elena" 

"I'm Katherine" she mumbles. Whoops, forgot about her. Lyra notices her looking at the man with her, "Elijah" she whispers.

"Katerina, let us in" Elijah states coldly. She moves and allows them to enter.

"Big brother, what a surprise. Lyra" Klaus says to them. He must have gotten tired of Alaric's body because Lyra had never seen this man. Lyra can tell what he's trying to do and cuts them both off at the knees. 

"So, to start I'm going to need a couple things. The moonstone and the original spell. I need to examine both to make sure my plan will work" She looks between the men, "Please don't try to kill each other while I'm doing my work".

Klaus looked her over before finally giving her both items. She nodded to him and walked to sit at the island to begin.

Those two must have thought they were being quiet but after listening to them bicker for ten minutes, Lyra had enough. Spinning around, she hopped off her stool and stomped over to them. 

"Okay, you two are acting like children. I mean you're both over a thousand years old and my son is more mature. He's not even one!" Both men stare at her silent, "If you do not sit down and figure your shit out like the adults you are I will stick your hands together until you do. Permanently!" After saying her peace, Lyra stomps back to her work. 

Elijah stared after her in awe. When he noticed his brother watching him, he quickly looked away.

"You fancy the witch" Klaus quietly comments.

Elijah rolls his eyes, "Don't be absurd" He knew he hadn't convinced him. Niklaus always told them love was a weakness and he didn't want Lyra hurt.

"Sure, whatever you need to tell yourself" Klaus smirks.
