Lee Yuri

"Congratulations, Class of 2024! You guys have finally graduated; you may now move your tassel to the left!" My principal announced.

So many years have passed, and I have graduated high school. I can finally go home.

I stayed back to take some photos with my friends, knowing I wouldn't be able to see them as much.

"Yuri, I'm gonna miss you so much. Keep us updated on your life.!" Janet cried while hugging me.

"Stop, don't make me cry too! I'm gonna miss our friend group so much." I hugged back.

"Hey Yuri, can I talk to you?" I turned and saw Mark, one of our good friends.

"Yeah sure, what's up?" I followed him to where there was less crowding to hear him better.

"I know this is very random, but let me finish speaking. I know we've been in the friend group for so long and I couldn't help but catch feelings for you. You are so sweet and caring. Even if you don't have the same feelings, I hope we can stay good friends." He spoke quickly and looked at me with anticipation.

"Wow, Mark. I don't know to say. I'm flattered, but I don't see you the same way. I'm also leaving to go back to Korea."

"Oh, haha. I hope you have a safe flight, but make sure to keep in contact! You still are a great friend that I want to keep in touch with." I nodded in agreement and we headed our separate ways.

I went to my apartment to finish packing, because of course who doesn't pack last minute. After I was done packing, I made sure to clean the place because the workers are extremely nice to me and I want to pay back the favor to not give them much to clean.

My flight is in a few hours, so I brought my stuff to the airport to avoid traffic and going to the wrong gate. On the way to the airport, I looked at the scenery, knowing I'm gonna miss this temporary home.

I wanted to prank my brother, so I pulled my phone out.

Me

Oppa, I'm so sorry.

I rushed as fast as I could, but I missed my flight.

I won't be arriving on time :(

Lovely Seungie

Noooo, I was hoping to see you!

I haven't seen you in years.

I miss my lil sis.

But make sure to be safe on the flight okay?

Me

Okayy <3

Hehe, I'm evil. I went towards my gate to check in before going onto the plane. Once I got to my seat, I knocked out.

A few hours later...

I woke up from sleeping and realized we landed. I stepped out and let the breeze hit me. Home sweet home.

I called Mom that I was on the way, but to keep it a secret. I wanted to surprise them. I made sure I had all of my stuff together.

I arrived and looked at the house in front of me. My childhood memories slowly appeared. When Heeseung and I played in the backyard and front porch to Mom and Dad splashing us with the hose on a hot summer day.

I'm not sure why Dad wanted to send me away so bad, but I'm back now, forever. I knocked on the door and saw Mom. I ran and hugged her.

"Mom! I missed you so much! Where's Dad and Heeseung?" I looked at the empty living room.

"Dad is caught up at work. You know how busy being a CEO is. And Heeseung is just playing games, so he can't hear us right now. Let me cook dinner before your Dad comes. You have grown up so well and beautifully. Now go surprise your brother." She smiled at me.

I walked up the stairs and went to Heeseung's room. Not a lot changed, his room was still neat and I see there are lot of gaming collections.

I looked to see Heeseung focused on the game with his headphones on. His monitor seemed to have discord on, I'm guessing he's playing with his friends. I snuck up behind him and put him in a chokehold.

"Hey, you said you missed me, but you're playing games with your friends. You seem a little too happy that I was coming home late!" I laughed while he was struggling.

"Yuri-ah! You're home! I thought you missed your flight?" He tried to get out of the chokehold.

"I was pranking you! Now tell me-" I was caught off by voices.

"Oh my god! Heeseung hyung has a girlfriend?"

"Look, she put him in a chokehold HAHAH!"

"Wow, she is so pretty."

"Ooooo, why didn't you tell us you had a girlfriend!"

"She looks a little like Heeseung?"

"Yah! That's my little sister dimwits. Sorry Yuri. These are my friends. Seems like one of them is sleeping, but I'll introduce you to them when we go to school!" He finally got out of the chokehold. The guys apologized for the misunderstanding.

"Oh, hey guys! I'm his younger sister, I can't wait to meet you guys!" I gave a small laugh.

"Okay I'll talk to guys later. I need to catch up with my sister!" He turned off his monitor.

I almost fell when Heeseung jumped into my arms crying.

"Hey, why are you crying? Stop it!" I laughed as I pat his back.

"I-i missed you so much! It was so lonely without anyone to bother at home." He cried and hugged me tighter.

Once he stopped crying, we sat on his bed to fill in everything about what has happened in our lives. An hour passed and Mom called us down to eat. Now I have to face Dad.

"Yuri-ah welcome back home! How was studying abroad?" Dad looks happier, I guess now that I am back. Weird.

"It was scary at first since I was by myself. But I got used to it and managed to survive over the years." I said in a monotone voice. He looked a little sad.

"The reason I sent you to study abroad, is because I needed you to take over the company in the future. Giving you this chance to study abroad early can help with that. I'm sorry I never clearly explained. You were only a child and I figured you'd understand when you're older." He explained.

"Yeah, I understand, but sending me by myself is a little harsh, isn't it? Not only that, you and Mom constantly argued over this. Why do I have to take care of the company, what about Heeseung?" I was a little upset at the responsibilty that's being put on me.

"I've been teaching Heeseung about the company so he can help you manage it. I'm getting old now. I only have you two to depend on. I'm truly sorry for not being a good father and seeing you grow up." He had tears in his eyes.

"Well. it's too late for that now, don't you think?" I finished eating and went to my room to unpack.

I heard a knock on the door and saw Heeseung peak his head in.

"Hey, we can talk you know?" I nodded and he came into my room.

"I know this is a lot to take in, but I'm here for you. I know Dad doesn't always make the right choices, but I will do anything to make sure you are safe and happy." I nodded.

"I know that, but I wished I had at least someone with me, you know? Yes I made friends, but even my friends had their family with them. I couldn't even spend the holidays with my own family. But, I just need to think more now because now I'm given the responsibility of the company." Letting my feelings out to Heeseung made all the weight come off my shoulders.

When I finished unpacking the important items, I went to sleep because I'm gonna have a long day tomorrow.
