The doctor came out of the room and Earthquake quickly stand up following by Thunderstorm and Cyclone.

"How is my brother?"asked Earthquake. The doctor smiled.

"He's in stable condition now. But sometimes he might have a headache. But I can assure you that he's fine," the doctor said.

"I-im glad..." Earthquake replied.

"I told you Thorn is gonna be fine, he's strong after all," Cyclone said with a smile.

"Ah, but he's resting right now. He might regain consciousness later. I will give him a rest for a week so that he'll be able to recover perfectly," the doctor reply.

"Can we go in and check in him now Doctor?" Thunderstorm ask.

"Well yes, but I need one of you to come and follow me. I need to explain his condition more thoroughly and his meds. Also, make sure not to make much noise when you go inside," the doctor warn.

"I'll go. Cy, go buy some food for Thorn. Quake, stay here" Thunderstorm said. Cyclone nodded as he watch Thunderstorm follow the doctor to his room.

Cyclone patted Earthquake head and smile at him before he goes to buy food.

"..."

Earthquake entered the room. Thorn look so pale.

Earthquake sat beside Thorn and hold his hand.

"I'm sorry..."

"I'm sorry..."

"I'm sorry..."

Repeated. He doesn't know what to say nor do. His little brother, is injured. His little brother is laying down, unconcious right in front of him. All because of him. This is all related to him. In the end, it is still his fault. Tears slowly fall down from his eyes.

"Why did I think I could protect you...?" Earthquake ask himself.

"I'm sorry Thorn... I'm sorry..." Repeated. Again.

'Sorry' was all he could say. He failed. Failed to protect his sibling.

Suddenly Thorn fingers start to move in Earthquake hand.

"! Thorn?!"

Thorn slowly open his eyes. But his eyes look a little dull. They're not shining so bright like always. Thorn doesn't look at Earthquake. He stares at the ceiling.

"Thorn, are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere? Should I call the doctor-"

"The one who hurt Thorn... Was it the same person who hurt Brother Quake..?" That's the first thing he said when he woke up. Earthquake did not reply.

"..."

Thorn turn his face to look at Earthquake. Earthquake seems a bit shocked by the question.

'Tears...' Thorn thought.

"So it's true..." Thorn close his eyes again.

"It's not..." Earthquake reply. But Thorn just smile and turn his head to look at him once again.

"Do you want to know something Brother Quake? You're a very good liar..."

"Huh ...?"

"Because if it's not true... Brother Quake wouldn't have made that kind of expression..." Thorn raise his hand to caress Earthquake's face.

'Fears and guilt... That's what I see on your face Brother Quake...' Thorn said to himself as he wipe Earthquake tears.

"I-I'm... S-sorry..." Earthquake said as he hold Thorn hand that caress his face.

"Why said sorry? Thorn didn't blame you Brother Quake," Thorn said. His eyes, have become different. It is not a shining green eye anymore. Now it's a little dull. Where did the shine go? But he still said that to Earthquake with a smile.

"I'm.... Sorry..." Earthquake kept repeating. His tears doesn't seem like it will stop. This is it. This is his guilt. An older brother guilt.

Thorn slowly wake up to a sitting position and hug Earthquake.

"It was never Brother Quake's fault," Thorn said as he caress Earthquake's back.

Earthquake who's a little shocked from the hug, hugged Thorn back.

Earthquake cried. Why did Thorn comfort him? Shouldn't he be the one to comfort Thorn and assure that everything will be fine? Why is he the one who's crying? But... A hug is exactly what he needs right now. He'll admit it. He's not a good brother. He failed as a brother. But why didn't his brother blame him? In Thorn's arm, Earthquake keep repeating...

"I'm sorry,"

"I'm sorry.."

"I'm sorry..."

And with each 'sorry' Thorn tighten his hug.

How? How can he make his older brother trust him? How can he get his older brother to trust him? How can he get his older brother to feel safe again? How can he get his brother to smile a real smile again without worrying about anything? How can he help his brother? He knows that the person who hurt him and his brother is the same, but he still doesn't know who as he only gets a glimpse of them. How exactly is he supposed to make his brother feel protected? Or even, be protected? He doesn't know. But what he did know... Once he find out who's behind all this, they're dead.

'... Someone's gonna die sooner or later,' Thorn thought to himself.
