Chapter Twenty-Six

(Meter's POV)

It's been quite a while when the mafia held us tied up in a full glass wall where the entrance of the school can be seen. The other students were in there respected classrooms because I said that they don't have to get involve in our mess. "So, tell me where is she!?" "How could we know, she wasn't here with us." Ayaka retorted back. "Don't raise your voice on me, bitch or I will..." He was ready to clutch Ayaka's neck if it wasn't for Yuji who block her. "Don't even lay a finger on her." "Or will what? A brat like you can't do anything against us, even that girl were searching for." "What do you mean by that?" I ask curiously.

"Hahahaha! You don't even know anything about her, and now you talk as if you were best friends. Isn't obvious? She's deceiving you all along." I felt my blood is rushing in my head on what he said. He doesn't have the right to talk back to Alexis like that. "You pig! Don't talk about Alexis like that!" Ayaka yelp as she's holding back her tears. "You know nothing about her. Do you know her past? Her dreadful past...."

"What do you mean dreadful past?" Jiro staring blankly at their leader. "She wouldn't and never tell you that, because she's afraid, afraid of us...." "Then why are you holding us captive?" "To see if she will appear here and not running away. I knew her, she wouldn't let other people die because of her." "You bastard, she will come for us!" Ayaka answered. "But if she will, you will kill her, right?" I seconded. I look at Ayaka and bow her head in realization. "She will never come, so let us be free." Sho instructed. "Hahaha, you never get it don't you? Just wait and see..." BROOOMMM!!!! Then we heard a loud booming approaching our school. And it was so fast, and I think I remember that sound.

"No! No! It can't be her!" Jiro is now anxious about what was happening. "There she is, let's go. And by the way, you can hear our conversation trough those speakers." The leader and some of his men are attempting to go the ground but Jiro is agile to block their way even in his state. "Don't block our way brat." I saw how the leader kick Jiro's abdomen just to clear their way. "Jiro! Are you alright?" I ask. "I'm not nee-san, as long I don't see Alexis safe."

(Silver's POV)

I drive all the way from our hotel to Seika U. I already know that they held captive the students their but I don't know who they keep at. Those bastards don't want to lose. I need to get there fast, before they started killing some students. I will not be surprise by that, because they don't have the thing mercy. As long as they abide the laws of their mafia leader, there is no room for it. And that's why I hate them so much. I held tightly at the steering wheel and step on the gas to speed up to its limit. I make a hard turn in the gate and step on the brake making a loud screech. I took a deep breath before going out of the car. I slammed the door and I saw the men in black approaching in my place, the Insignia. The very group that wants me killed. "You make us wait for so long, Silver." I gulped the lump on the throat before answering him.

"I didn't know that you missed me that much, Venom." I said to the leader. "I know, and you will not make that face of yours after this..." "Just make it straight, Venom, my patience is wearing thin." He then chuckled. "Haha, you see those friends of yours?" He points his index finger in the clear wall glass of the school. There, I saw them tightly tied up. Even though it's far away, I can clearly see their faces from my place. I lock contacts with Jiro who is now staring at me in relief and anxiety. "What do you want me to do?" I asked bravely.

"Haha, pretty simple, kneel..." I know that it will come to this day that I feared of. And I trained myself for this day for more than 2 years. Two years I've suffered from lost, pain and guilt. I wouldn't let anything to be in vain, I took another deep breath and submit to them. I lowered down in the ground and kneel my knees in the dirt. But before my knees pat in ground, a strong hit from a bat beat my left cheek. My body slammed in the hard ground. The next thing I felt is another hit from my back and I groan hard.

(Jiro's POV)

We are still held tied in the glass wall of the second floor and we are helplessly watching as they mercilessly beat Silver in the ground. "Shit! Get these off of me now!" I screamed hopelessly just to get loose of the rope. "Damn it! Why doesn't she runaway!?" Fuck this world. What is she doing there? Letting those bastards beat her? "What are we gonna do? They'll kill her!" I heard Ayaka cried out. "I won't let that happen. I won't!"

(Silver's POV)

I groaned silently as I receive those heavy blows in my body, but I didn't felt any pain more painful from what I've felt before. I thought I'm going numb and that thought made me a bit happy. I know that I'm broken right now as well as my body from the beating. After a few moments they stop hitting me. "Now, what are you going to do now that you're beaten up? Venom taunt.

"Tss...is that all you've got?" I felt' sore all over my body but that didn't stop me from sitting from the ground. I was panting so hard that oxygen is drifting away from my breathe. "Don't mock me kid, you're nothing right now, you can't even save your fucking family and you're idiot friends." "Say that again and you're gonna be dead." He laugh hard almost rolling in the ground.

"What are you gonna do? Beat us up? We're too many for you to handle, kid." He gives me an evil smirk. I smell my blood mixed in the dirt of the ground that made me reminiscence of the past. "You can't even save somebody....hehe...and even now." Venom said. I chuckled a bit to suppress the pain injecting in my body. "What so funny? You can already see your end, kid?"

"No, I pity you...you low lives. Operation Strike!" "What the---." Aeris started to fire guns towards them, luckily I'm still down on the ground so I'm not that affected. The men in black run in different direction that gives me time to escape. Aeris is not only a racing car but it also customized for combat. I rolled sideward and stand on my feet to run away from the scene, because Aeris is voice activated it won't stop until I said so. I'm mid-half way from the building when I heard a loud screech coming from the entrance of the school. There appeared a black and silver motorcycle running fast towards and stop infront of me. The rider pushes up his visor so that I can see freely his face.

"Ken! What are you...?" "Save them now. I'm holding them off. Here, wear this, so that we can communicate." Without further adieu I nodded and run towards the building again. I reached up where they are and tied up in wires. "Alexis! Are you ok?" Ayaka asked with worry. I tried to cut the wire that looks like a rope but something bad caught my eyes. The wires were connected to a bomb that when I cut the wire it would detonate the bomb. "You should worry yourself more than me, Ayaka."

"W-What are you saying?" "The wires are connected to a bomb." Blood is draining from their faces when I informed them. "N-No, how can that be...?" I tried to contact Ken on the communication. "Ken, we have a problem." "What is it?" I sense that he is fighting the mafia in the ground right now and it makes me worry more. "Their ropes are connected to a bomb." "That's a problem, but I know you can do it." "Fine, but I'm not sure about this." I find the bomb that is beside the pile of garbage. "It has a detonation code." What could the code may be? "Don't be afraid Alexis, we know you can do it." I felt Jiro's voice near my ear. I never felt him approach me.

"Jiro..." I don't know why I'm so afraid right now, maybe because I don't want anyone to felt my misery. I don't know what will I feel when I came face to face to him again. There is anxiety and happiness in his eyes when he stares at me. Telling me not to be afraid when inside I'm trembling.

"Thank you..." No words can explain how happy I am when I saw him fine. I easily type the code it was stop the detonation. "It stops." I declared. "Thank goodness, thank you, Alexis."

I cut their ropes one by one. "You can thank me later when you helped escape the other students. I'll help Ken on the ground." With that, we part ways again. I was on my way to the entrance when someone grabs my wrist and drags me in the opposite direction.
