"Cheol?"

"Huiyeon?" He sat up, resting on his elbows. Suddenly, Kkuma runs over and tries to get under his back to push him up. "Kkuma..."

"Um... are you okay?" She asks him.

He chuckles while pulling his mask back up. "Yeah. I was worried because Kkuma ran off when I sat down to take a break."

She looks down at his leg before shaking her head and putting her hand out. "Here, let's get you up."

"Oh, it's okay." He shrugs, trying to play off the fact that he was embarrassed. "I think I enjoy being down here."

She presses her lips into a straight line. "Well, then, are you okay with me checking your knee out right here?"

"You don't have to-"

She sticks her hand out one more time. "C'mon." He sighs, taking her hand and getting up. She carefully helps him onto the bench before grabbing his crutches and setting it beside him. Kkuma runs over and sits beside him. "I could've sworn I said to rest you knee."

A smile tugs against his lips as he avoids eye contact with her. "About that..."

"And I could've sworn you promised me too." She squats down in front of him, carefully feeling around his knee.

"Listen- ah!" He winces. "I just w-wanted to-" he suddenly pushes her hands away. "Please stop. It hurts. I promise I'll rest it for real from now on."

She stands up and folds her arms. "I'm a bit offended that you didn't listen to me the first time."

He awkwardly laughs. "Sorry."

She lets out a small laugh before sitting down beside him. "I'll let it slide this time."

He bows his head before picking Kkuma up and setting her down beside him. "No more running off, okay?" He softly scolds her.

"Guess you were just getting your steps in today?" She says, trying to make small talk with him.

He softly pets Kkuma behind the ears. "Yeah. I also just needed to take my daughter out for a stroll."

"Your daughter?" She looks around. "Where is she?"

He chuckles before grabbing Kkuma's sides and lifting her up. "This is Kkuma."

"Oh, you were talking about your dog-"

He gasps, quickly covering Kkuma's ears and hugging her close to his chest. "Kkuma and I are offended!"

She raises an eyebrow. "Sorry?"

"Perfect! We're practically friends now!"

"Huh?"

"Ya know, now that we've both offended eachother," he puts out his hand. "It's nice to meet you again, Ahn Huiyeon."

She smiles and shakes his hand. "It's nice to meet you again, Cheol. Sorry for being so informal, I never really caught your full name."

"Seungcheol. Choi Seungcheol." He nods. "But you can call me Cheol. I don't mind, we're the same age."

"Hm, Seungcheol." She tilts her head. "Where have I heard that before?"

"Maybe during the fanchants." He shrugs.

"Maybe." She shakes the thought out of her head. "Anyway, Choi Seungcheol-"

"Cheol."

"Seungcheol."

"I said you can call me Cheol."

"And I'd probably get a lecture for calling my boss by a nickname."

He sets Kkuma in between them. "But we're not out here as employee and boss." He folds his arms.

"Sorry, my patient."

"Not that either!" He throws his head back causing her to laugh. "Didn't you hear me? We're friends now. You don't have to be so formal with me."

"I wouldn't exactly call us friends just yet." She softly pets Kkuma, who was now in between them. "We barely know eachother."

"Well, you seem to know a lot more about me than I do about you." She looks up at him. "I mean, you have a whole detailed description on me. You even know my blood type."

"That's just for work." She shakes her head.

"Still. You know a lot about me. So in all technicality, I'm already your friend." He turns to her. "What I'm asking is if you're willing to be mine?"

"You want me to be your friend?"

"Yes. Which means, I wanna get to know you." He looks down at Kkuma, who was now sleeping, snuggled up against her. He smiles. "She must be comfortable around you."

"Huh?" She looks down. "Oh, I didn't even realize."

"It's okay. She has trouble sleeping around strangers, so I'm just surprised. She must sense that you're a-" he pauses.

"A mother?"

"Yeah... sorry."

"You don't have to apologize." She smiles. "I'm not ashamed of being a mom."

He nods. "Um, anyway, what brings you here?"

"Well, I just took my son to school. So, I took a stop out here. That climb uphill is not for the weak."

"Seriously." He chuckles. "Your son goes to school out here? Do you live in the neighborhood?"

"Yeah, we moved in not too long ago when I got the job."

"So, that's why I've never seen you before."

"Yup." They both awkwardly sit in silence.

He takes in a deep breath. "So, what's your favorite color?" He asks, causing her to laugh.

"Um, yellow." She nods. "Yours?"

"Red." He presses his lips into a straight line. "A place you wanna visit?"

"Wow, jumping right into it, huh?"

"Just breaking the ice." He adjusts his mask again.

"Maybe..." she taps her lips. "Germany."

"Ooh, good one!"

"You?"

"Hawaii." He nods. "Favorite movie?"

"Hmm.." she thinks. "It's currently Trolls."

He raises an eyebrow. "Isn't that like... a kids movie?"

"Okay, but hear me out." She turns a bit, still careful not to accidentally wake Kkuma. "That movie slaps. The music, also slaps. The characters, slap-"

"It's a cartoon."

"What? You don't like cartoons?"

"Well, I do, but-"

"Then, my point still stands." She folds her arms. "Plus, my son likes that movie."

He chuckles. "Okay, okay."

She sighs, throwing her head back and laughing to herself, before sitting up. "Anyway, yours?"

He pretends to look around the park. "Wow, it's a nice day today."

"Really?"

"What? My favorite movie is..." he rubs his forehead. "Not as great as yours."

"Pfft." She shakes her head. "Don't tell me you're gonna say The Notebook, that is so cheesy." He looks away from her. "No way..."
