Lily

After an agonising hour of Luke staring at me and mumbling stuff about who he was sat next to, the bell rung. I grabbed my bag, stuffed my books in as quickly as possible before making a bolt for the door.

Suddenly a hand grabbed mine and pulled me quickly to whoever had hold of it.

"In a hurry?" Luke smirked.

My head lowered. I had nothing to say to him...I never did. I just wanted him to leave me alone.

He slowly pushed me back, so my back was resting against the lockers of the corridor and I felt more vulnerable than ever.

There wasn't even anyone around, only the odd late person, who obviously didn't stop and help.

"Luke." Someone shouted from the end of the corridor.

Calum.

"Cal." Luke smirked, his gaze going from Calum back to myself.

"Lily Matthews." Calum chuckled, as he looked me up and down.

"Why are you doing this?" I spoke up, although my voice was barely audible.

The two boys were obviously shocked by my response, I'd never said two words to them before.

"Because you're fun." Calum shrugged.

"You don't fight back and that's what we like." He grinned.

"Lily?" I heard a familiar voice gasp, interrupting what Luke was about to say.

"What the fuck is this?" Sav shouted, getting closer to the three of us.

"It's Luke pressing Lily up against the lockers, what does it look like?" Calum rolled his eyes.

"I'm not in the mood for your bullshit Calum." Sav spat.

"Lily, come on." Sav said, tugging at my arm.

Luke's grip tightened on me and I winced as his hands pushed against my shoulders.

"Luke. Get off her." Sav shouted.

"Savannah. Shut up."Luke mimicked, in what was meant to be Sav's voice.

"What's actually your problem? You two are so messed up, what kind of seventeen year old boys taunt a girl their age, it's so middle school. You're both so childish and pretty much all of the school hates you." Sav said, pulling me out of Luke's grip and walking down the halls.

"I have to get to RS." I told Sav, trying to avoid speaking to her about it.

"Lily, why do you let them do it to you?" She sighed, completely ignoring what I'd just said.

"I don't know. I don't even know why they do it...I guess it's because I don't fight back." I shrugged.

"They're both dicks." Sav muttered.

"I'll see you at lunch, yeah?" I said, before opening the door and heading into the late lesson.

"Lily? Where have you been?" Miss Jackson, who was luckily one of my favourite teachers asked.

"I..I cut my leg quite badly so I had to get it cleaned up." I lied.

She nodded, although she didn't look convinced.

I took a seat in the middle of the row, next to two girls who I didn't really speak to.

Before Miss Jackson could start up the lesson again, the door burst open and Luke came in.

This must have looked really bad as I heard a chorus of 'oo's' fill the classroom.

"Were Lily and Luke hooking up?" One girl whispered.

"Probably, but I don't know why they would have been...they're complete opposites." Another girl answered.

"Luke, why are you so late?" Miss Jackson asked, her hand resting on one of her hips.

Luke shot me a smirk, causing everyone to believe what they thought.

"Luke got laid." One boy shouted.

"What the fuck?" I stood up, the room going silent.

"Luke Hemmings and I would never hook up. As you said Clara, we're complete opposites." I said, as I looked at the girl who was sat behind me.

I grabbed my bag and books before storming out of the classroom, slightly pushing past Luke.

I made my way out onto the field, I liked it there and there was usually nobody around to bother me.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

From: Sav

Where are you? I saw you leave RS?x

To: Sav

I'll meet you at lunch, I'm fine x

Two hours passed and it was the start of lunch, I knew that Sav will have told Pippa and Taylor and I'll probably get shit about me and Luke 'hooking up'.

I made my way to the lockers where we said we'd meet, to find all of them waiting there.

"Lil." Taylor smiled.

"I was just about to text you." Pippa said.

"Are you ok?" Tay asked, linking her arm in mine.

"Yeah I'm ok." I confirmed, although I really wasn't ok.

"We should go before there's no food left." Pippa said, ushering us in the direction of the canteen.

The rest of the day dragged and I was glad that I was now walking out of the school gates towards Pip's car.

My pulse raised as I saw Luke, Calum and Michael resting against the school gates, probably smoking.

I pulled my hood over my head and lowered my posture, but I knew Calum had already seen me.

He said something to Luke before the three of them made their way over to me.

I stopped in front of them and they all towered over me.

"I heard there's a rumour going around about you and Luke?" Michael laughed.

"Yeah, well it could have been avoided." I mumbled.

"What?" Calum asked.

"N-nothing." I shrugged.

"Just let her go, she's an embarrassment anyway." Michael spat.

I climbed into Pippa's car, knowing I'd get a dozen questions from each of the girls.

"What was that about?" Taylor asked.

"Nothing, it doesn't matter. Just start the car." I ordered.

"It does matter Lil, you need to start standing up for yourself or your last year of high school is going to be absolutely shit." Sav said.

"Yeah, Sav's right Lily." Pippa agreed.

As I got home that night I kept thinking about what Sav had said and she was completely right. Tomorrow, I'd go in with a new style and personality and there was no way Luke Hemmings and his friends were going to ruin my last year with my best friends.

Hiiii,

The picture is of Sav if you didn't realise.

So what do you think of the girls so far?
