"Hee Hee," giggled Cupid, looking on Youtube at some of the dance moves he wanted to learn.
"Hmm, I think the floss would do," said Cupid.
He started following the motions and became a pro at it in ten minutes.
"Let's see what'll happen if I do the floss while shooting an arrow," said Cupid and tried it.
"Whoops," said Cupid, shooting his strongest arrow in the wrong direction. It hit and caught the entire Hills Valley Middle School!
"Fwwhheueeeeaaauueeee," he innocently whistled and walked away.
In the meantime, Lily and Sarah were playing Tic-Tac-Toe with chalk on the blacktop.
"Riiiiiiiiing," went the recess bell.
"Aww, come on!" sighed Lily.
"Eh, it's okay, at least we have tomorrow," said Sarah.
"Right. Now come on, or we'll be the last ones on line," exclaimed Lily, rushing toward the line. Suddenly, she froze.
"What happened?" asked Sarah. Cole, one of the popular people in the school, walked past Lily.
"Oooh," said Sarah.
"Anything wrong?" asked Cole.
"Umm, nothing?" Lily stammered.
"Welp, time to go," said Sarah, pushing Lily toward the line.
At home, Lily snuggled up with Scruffy and turned on the TV for the news on her favorite channel.
"Hello, folks. Today, Hills Valley Middle School was infected by Cupid, who struck an arrow onto the rooftop of this school. It has been spread with an infection known as the Love Bug. Only three people were not infected: Lily Hamoks, Sarah Ford, and Cole Adles. We'll be quarantined for a month."
Lily gasped. She took Scruffy and rushed over to Sarah's house.
"I know what happened," sighed Sarah.
"We have to find a cure for this," said Lily.
"Wait-," said Sarah, but Lily dragged her and Scruffy out the house and towards the school.
"Okay. I know that Cupid aimed it at the top of the school, so let's go there," said Lily.
"But how will we get there?" asked Sarah.
"I know a way," said Lily. Sarah and Scruffy followed Lily to the school, to the library.
"C-Cole? What are you doing here?" said surprised Lily.
"Umm, hangin' out," said Cole.
"I thought I was going to call you about fixing this Love Bug, but I realized I don't have your number."
"Well, we'll do that l-later," stuttered Lily.
"Okay, follow me up," said Lily.
"Where up?" said Sarah and Cole in unison.
"You'll see," said Lily, going through a door and up the stairs.
"Where are we?" asked Sarah.
"On the roof of our school," said Lily.
"What is that big, fat shiny pink thing over to the right?" asked Cole.
"Look! Cole found the arrow," Lily shrieked. She ran over to the arrow.
"Help me take it out," said Sarah.
"We are!" said Cole and Lily in unison.
"It's not coming out!"
Suddenly, Cupid showed up in the sky in a big flash of light.
"Cupid?" Lily, Sarah, and Cole shrieked in unison.
"Cupid, what in the-,"
"I'm here to fix my mistake," said Cupid, unsticking the arrow. He took it back and said a quick, "Goodbye!"
"Welp, that was weird," said Lily.
Suddenly, the entire school shone a bright light. "We did it!" whooped the three.
"Happy Valentine's Day," they all shared and laughed and became a group themselves.
As they say it, it all started when Cupid learned the floss.
