Chapter 7: Would you like to go home with me?

"Can we start over again?"

Those are the words that escaped from his lips. I was surprised of course. I never knew that he'd like to make things right. However, hearing those words from his lips makes it sound so relieving to know. My sympathetic nature starts to react once again. I gazed at him softly, a small and gentle smile began to mark onto my lips. It was as if I'm glad, I longed wanted to hear those words from him.

"I'm very sorry, Gyu. I've regretted everything. I want to make things right with you. I want to change for you. I've realized that I was a jerk before, I know that. I just want you to know that I'm willing to change for the better." He explained, of course I was a bit skeptical.

That one time suddenly reminisced inside my head, when he told me about something and he looks so vulnerable and sincere. It almost looks like he was being genuine for his confession to me, but then in the end he was just lying and me just being me believed to his lies. I was so naive and I was a fool. Since then, I started to have trust issues in believing him. Of course, I want to forgive him. It's just that I want to test him out if maybe...just maybe he's telling the truth and he isn't lying right now.

I let out a sigh as I turned to face him. "Alright... it's not like I already forgive you or something, I want you to prove yourself that you're being genuine and you're telling the truth. I hate liars" I stated, he looked at me as if he was glad that at least I gave him a chance.

He nodded his head eagerly, determined to prove that he was being sincere and he's willing to change for the better for me.

"Okay, I'll prove it to you" He spoke with eagerness, a small smile cracked on the corner of my lips as I turned around to leave.

"I'll see you around now, babye" I bid a goodbye along with a wave of my hand, he waved to me as well in return. And eventually, I headed back to the class.

After a while, I'm sitting at my seat. My hands were busy putting the rest of my stuffs back inside my bag as I got up and was ready to leave. Not until, Taehyun and Soobin starts to approach me.

"So how was it? Did you forgive him?" Taehyun asked, his arms were crossed over his chest and he was facing me directly.

"Well...I just gave him a chance, but it doesn't mean I already forgive him" I clarified, Soobin looked at me and his other brow was arched.

"What do you mean by that?" He asked, I gently looked at him with a small smile.

"I just wanted to give him another chance, it's just a chance yet. But, there's a huge potential that maybe...because of that chance that I gave to him he's going to prove me that he's willing to change" I said, fixing my bag a little.

"Willing to change?" Taehyun and Soobin asked in unison.

"You mean he's not going to be the bully-like Yeonjun that he used to be before?" Taehyun asked, as if he's not convinced to what I just said.

"That's impossible. Him? Willing to change? For what?" Soobin asked.

They both shared glances together before they glanced at me once again in unison.

"For you?" They asked in unison.

"W-What?! N-No!" I stuttered, my cheeks flushed into a deep shade of red as I started shaking my hands panically.

"Oh come on Gyu stop denying it, didn't you tell us before that you had a little tiny bit crush from Yeonjunie?" Soobin smirked while Taehyun started laughing playfully at me.

"Hmp... it's not like because I like him..." I said quietly as I averted my gaze away, I was embarrassed.

Okay. To be honest, I do have a crush on Yeonjun before. And it's not the reason why I'm forgiving him, okay? It's just that... I don't want any more issues that will be happening around and I don't want things to get messed up once again just because of the terrible past.

Taehyun and Soobin started teasing me, laughing and giggling at the most stupid things I've ever shared to them when I had a crush on Yeonjun.

"Oh come on you guys stop it! It's so embarrassing!" I started blushing into a deep shade of red, my face was heating profusely in which I don't like it when they're making fun of me like that.

"You're so cute, alright alright... we'll stop now" Soobin smiled, they started ruffling my hair like a little kid. I then flicked their hands away and playfully fixed my hair.

"Hey, wanna go home together? We can stop by the convenience store for a moment if you guys want to" Taehyun smiled as he started taking his bag just above his desk.

Soobin smiled and followed him from behind. "Sure" his dimples could be seen marking on his cheeks.

"Umm...I don't think I'm going" I said slightly as my head hung low.

"Oh? Why?" They asked, their face turned into a sad frown.

"I have something else to do...you can both go if you want to, maybe tomorrow I can go along with you all" I spoke along with a small smile.

"Oh...okay..." They both spoke, it seems like they were disappointed that I wasn't going along with them. Of course, they're like a family to me. They'd feel incomplete if I'm not around, either I would feel incomplete too whenever they're not around.

I sighed slightly as I ran towards them and gently rested my arms around they're shoulders as I pulled them down slightly to level at my height, well except for Taehyun AHAHAHHAAH. I then smiled towards them warmly.

"Don't worry guys, soon I'll go along with you both if I have time. And I'm sure we're gonna play some arcade games~" I grinned mischievously, they both looked at me and giggled along with a soft laugh at my face.

"Sure sure, we'd love that" Taehyun smiled to me.

I smiled to them as well in return and squeezed them slightly. "I'll see you all tomorrow" I said, they both grunted a little at the sudden tightness but they both just brushed it off and laughed gently.

"Yeah, you too Gyu" Soobin smiled to me, I nodded my head gently and slowly pulled away from them. They then left the classroom together, and now I'm all alone.

After a few moments, I went out of the building and headed into the bicycle parking area to look for my bike. I almost searched all the areas but I still haven't seen my bike. Wait...was it stolen or...?

"SHOOT!!" I shouted, my voice was loud enough to catch the attention from the other students around me. They started staring at me weirdly, as if they were judging me. Others started whispering at me.

"I'm sorry..." I immediately apologized and bowed in 90° as a sign of respect. Geez...I never knew my voice was that loud, well I like to scream of course. Watch me on YouTube or TikTok, I have tons of clips that I'm screaming my lungs out until my breath would go away AHAHAH.

"My bike...Yeonjun has it..." I muttered under my breath as I started ruffling my hair aggressively, contemplating my existence and why am I so stupid of running away from him without taking my bike along with me.

Just as I was about to walk away, a hand suddenly pulled my wrist back. I then turned to take a look at who it was but to my surprise it was Yeonjun. He stared back at me with a small smile, it was soft and gentle. I stared at his eyes deeply. And now my world stopped once again, gosh I hate it when this happens.

"Hey...well...umm...I came to...return your bike, you left it last Saturday" He said gently, he started scratching the back of his head as if he's embarrassed and nervous as well. He was averting his gaze away.

I couldn't help but crack up a small smile at his cute reaction. He gently handed me my bike and I slowly took it from him.

"Thank you" I smiled warmly, he eventually smiled at me as well in return.

"Umm...I was thinking that maybe..." He paused for a moment, in which I stared at him slightly and waited for his next words.

"Hm?" I hummed softly.

"Would you like to go home...with me?"
