Wait Is Over

Malhotra mansion was buzzling with chit-chats and family time. All family members were seated together to spend their Sunday with each other. Anjali joined them too as Riya Akshita's cousin is coming back to India from Las Vegas. Riya is like an elder sister and friend to Anjali. Therefore, Akshita called Anjali yesterday for meet up.

'' When will Riya di will be back? '' Akshita released a frustrated sigh.

Her eyes were fixed on clock waiting for her dearest cousin to come back.

'' Ravi Bhaiya I think Akshita doesn't needs to workout tomorrow since she is loosing weight of two days together today in the wait of Riya di's come back. '' Anjali teased Akshita earning giggles from everyone.

'' Shut up you Anabelle's long lost sister. '' Akshita said annoyed.

Her mother smack her for calling names to Anjali and glared at her. Anjali side-hugged Harshita( Akshita's mother) poking her tongue out at her bestie teasing her.

'' Such a shameless lizard are you. Teasing me after making mumma glare at me. Brother.'' Akshita whined to her brothers who were giggling at both fondly.

'' You started it first princess. '' Ravi exclaimed ruffling her hair and she looked at Sathvik in anticipation.

''I am out of this.'' Sathvik shrugged.

''Seriously you both are my brothers. Take my side.'' Akshita pouted annoyed at them.

Their conversation was cut short by ding on bell.

''I will open the door. '' Akshita exclaimed excitedly.

She opened the door and Riya passed her an angelic smile. She hugged her and took blessings of elder. She went upstairs to freshen up after a long journey.

Another ring of bell indicated that someone's at the door. It was Abhimanyu. He gave Akshat the important files and was about to leave when Akshat told him to meet his niece.

Riya was coming downstairs and he smiled looking upstairs. His smile faded after looking at her face which didn't go unnoticed by Akshita and Anjali.

'' Nice to meet you, Mr. Abhimanyu. '' Riya said with a blank face and he nodded.

'' I am busy. Excuse me. '' He excused himself and rushed out in a hurry.

Akshita and Anjali exchanged looks and Akshita eyed her to follow her upstairs. They went upstairs and closed the door behind them.

'' Do they know each other already? Why didn't he told me? '' Akshita questioned.

'' Haven't you asked him about his friends and all?'' Anjali asked.

'' He avoids it. Check his friend circle for me babe. '' Akshita urged Anjali.

After good 10 minutes Anjali spoke.

''Riya and Abhimanyu were in same campus but different fields. They look close. '' Anjali said showing the pictures.

'' Why did he hid it then? '' Akshita wondered.

'' I don't know. '' Anjali shrugged.

'' Your family and his family is going out for dinner so ask him there and then. '' Anjali suggested.

Akshita nodded and they went downstairs. They asked for Riya and got to know she is out.

Anjali came back home and spent her time with her family. At 10 pm she came to her room and saw her phone was missing then it hit her she may have forgot it at her bestie's place. She drove there and met Akshita. She told her she forgot her phone.
