Are we going to pretend that didn't happen?

The beginning

Do you ever feel like you need a break from everything and everyone? Well that did happen to me when my mom told me we're MOVING to ITALY. And if you think this is not a literal BOMB then let me tell you how she said my FATHER whom I've met a couple of times wants to GIVE ME his business so HE can retire??? Like whattt, I've seen him a few times but we didn't really speak much cause him and mom are divorced and it kinda made me uncomfortable to speak with him. And since my mom and I moved to Spain I just received from him gifts cards and money on my birthday.

My name is Gabriela Rossi and I'm 18 years old, and if you didn't understand already my life is about to change completely and I'm just a few kilometres away from it.

All my life people told me I look exactly like my dad that has ginger wavy hair, green eyes and freckles. Can't blame them tho, we look alike, but it's weird to hear people say that when I've seen him just a couple of times tho.

I moved to Spain when I was three, living here for fifteen years. And as far as I know my mom and my dad were together for four years before I was born.

One thing led to another and after months of abuse because of my dad’s obsession with that damn business and so many fights about money, my mom decided it was enough and divorced him. The same business that he intends to pass on to me.

Gaby fell asleep and woke up later to the captain's voice.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Delta Air Lines welcomes you to Ravenna. The local time is 16:43. For your safety and the safety of those around you, please remain seated with your seat belt fastened and keep the aisles clear until we are parked at the gate."

"Great" Gaby said in her mind with a sarcastic tone. She got off the plane and got her suitcases.
She was wearing a white dress and had her white blazer in her hand, and topped the fit with a Chanel 19 black handbag and with some Stellar Pump heels.

She got out of the airport and she was looking for the car her dad told her to take after she arrives. The car was a black Range Rover (L322) or that was what her dad told her the car was.

"Miss Rossi, here!" a voice said.

Gaby was took by surprinse turned her head to see where the voice came from.

Then a tall middle aged Man aroud his 30's got out of car and looked at Gaby.

"Good Evening Miss Rossi I am Antonio Conti and I'm here to escort you to Mr. Rossi's home." the man said with a pleasent look on his face.

"Good Evening! Nice to meet you!" Gaby said. He took her hand in his and kissed it, then he rushed to open the door for her.

"We'll arive in 1 hour at the mansion" Antonio said, then closed the door after she got in. He got in the driver's seat and they left the airport.

Gaby was looking at the road and the shops that were around the Ravenna admiring the city.

Antonio broke the silance and said "How was the flight Miss? Any disconfort?"

Gaby looked unfazed at the road and said "Not at all. It was quite nice actually"

After a while they entered the residential zone and Gaby observed that the sea it close from their home.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Antonio said with a smirk and continued "Here are coming many tourists during the summer break"

Gaby looked around amazed. "It's truly beautiful".

"Here we go" said Antonio. "We arrived" He got out of the car and opened her door and said "Welcome home Miss"

"Thank you" Gaby said with a polite voice.

Upon her arrival 2 maids welcomed her and took her belongings. After the maids took her belongings Antonio left to put the car in the garage and the maids asked Gaby to follow them.

"My name is Larissa" a maid said. She had a beautiful blonde hair and green eyes. "And my name Amber" The other maid said. She had brown eyes and Curly black hair.

When gaby entered the building she saw a red carpet and some beautiful stairs that headed upstairs. In the middle of the room was a golden chandelier that made the room look more luxurious.

After some quick looks around Gaby was called by Larissa to follow her upstairs.

While she was climbing the stairs with the maids in front,Gaby heard 2 voices.

"But you need to!" one voice said loudely.
"Even if I "need" to, you can't demand me to marry every ugly girl you want.  Another voice yelled.

Gaby was curios what was all that about. "They are fighting" Amber said. "I wonder why" Larissa said.

"Who's fighting?" Gaby asked.

The maids were looking at eachother and one of them said "We're sorry miss, we're not qualified to tell you this".

Gaby looked confused but before she could say anything else she saw a Tall, Dark brunette , with Brown eyes that was leaving a room.

He stopped when she saw her. And another person much older followed him out of the room.
The maids stopped and bowed before them.

"Ah, you must be Gabriela!" the older person said.

Gaby looked at him a little surprised but kept her cool and said "Yes, Nice to meet you Mr. ...."
"Romano" the man chuckled
"Nice to meet you Mr. Romano" Gaby said nicely.
"And this is my son Marco Romano" he said enthusiastic.
"Nice to meet you" Gaby said
Marco just looked at her and then stormed out of the hallway.
"Well that went well" Gaby mummred to herself.
"I'm sorry for him" Mr. Romano said.
"He's having a lot going on today" he added.
"It's not a problem!" Gaby said with a confused look by Marco's behaviour.
"We'll I'd better catch him before he does anything stupid" Mr. Romano says. "Have a nice evening Miss!"
"You too!" Gaby said.

"Weird people." Gaby thought in her head.

Larissa and Amber then showed her room and told her of she needs anything to call one of them.

After a long day gaby got her heels off and started looking around.

Her room was blue and white "ocean theme I see" Gaby told herself. Then she opened her dressing room to see an uniform and some other clothes people from the villa prepared her.
"that's a little extra and whats with the uniform" Gaby told to herself.

After she inspected the room she threw herself in bed and fell asleep.
