breaking in

"Move." I said to the person in front of me, avoiding eye contact.

"Hazel, you need to listen to me." Evan told me holding my shoulders, making me enable to move.

"Let go!" I yelled, trying to escape.

I was starting to feel dizzy and wasn't able to think straight. Usually, I would have punched whoever was making me uncomfortable in the nose and ran.

But it was Evan.

I couldn't hurt him.

No matter what.

"Let her go." I heard a familiar voice say from behind.

I turned to see Asher behind me, giving Evan a literal death glare.

There was such an unfamiliar tension between the three of us.

Something I would've never imagined or ever wanted.

We were in the hallways, and everyone there was watching us.

It was still early in the morning, so there were not many people, but it still made me uncomfortable, feeling eyes watching me.

It's so sad how my personal life has become something so public.

People at my school never even get ashamed talking about my business.

I mean, get a life?

At this point, I have escaped Evan and Asher. They were both too busy arguing about whatever, so I took advantage of their lack of attention and ran.

But I couldn't stop thinking about Asher.

Every time I see him, he insists that he has nothing to do with what Evan did.

But what idiot would believe that?

They were both like an item.

They came in one package.

You can't think of Evan without picturing Asher next to him.

And vice-versa.

Thinking about it, that's sad.

I wouldn't want to he known as someone's friend.

Don't get me wrong.

I love Ruby, but I don't want to make her my whole identity.

I like being my own person.

And I like her being known as her own.

I was waiting for the bell to ring to enter the class, because I was not gonna put myself face to face with my teacher.

And, yes, it's because I have maths.

"What are you doing outside?" Lorenzo spawned from nowhere.

"Oh, I just want want to be alone with Mr. Smith." I answered honestly.

"You can enter with me if you want to." I suggested looking desperate.

"Just admit you're scared of him too." I teased him, but I'm pretty sure he is. No one isn't.

"Yea, but don't tell anyone that." He admitted winking at me.

I got closer to him, trying to hide myself with his body.

Yes, I was this determined to not look at my teacher.

While I was playing hide and seek with Mr. Smith, I noticed how muscular Lorenzo was.

He was wearing a tight black shirt.

And holy moly, he looked good.

"Hazel, he's not even here." He informed me.
